@MrzParkernothing was taken from the church including money which was there. Nothing was stolen from Missy. Do you think they just decided to stroll through the church in riot gear when Missy was expected to be there alone? Your logic is faulty it seems. Perhaps they broke the windows simply to mislead police. Perhaps they broke them to attempt to lure Missy to investigate as some people will...If she saw broken windows and a cop she was more likely to stay than run. Missy was targeted. Plain and simple. Her schedule was public online. This was not a robbery or a crime of opportunity. Thankfully you are not a detective!

Same here... the actions appear to be the individual, knowing he/she is on camera, taking a few actions to make it appear a random burglary. I feel fairly certain the person knew Missy (personally or was a contract killer) and went there specifically to kill her.

This case is so disturbing and messed up. I can't understand how a case like this can be wide open with nothing leading to a conviction. Yet there are murders from 65 years ago being solved through some old DNA. Its nuts.

It's nuts. Perfect description for that situation and more similar situations too. i wonder if it has anything to do with the superstitious based fears that some policemen often acquire while they are on paid duty instead. Since the baptist minister who married me the second time told me only weeks ago that according to him and maybe the Baptist church authorities too that I am still married to my second husband and since my second husband was a bylaw enforcement officer at one time and since he brought to family court false evidence that I was having an affair on him too none of these case studies do anything to help me feel less anxious while out going for a walk. Has never stopped me from doing so though since the police who showed up at my door last winter looked apologetic while only asking me questions this time instead of showing up too again to be helping to protect me and helping to protect my children too from a former bylaw enforcement officer anyway. I am so happy now these last 7 years while living alone when no longer having to cope with such kind of drama anymore.

I wouldn't feel safe going in alone and setting up after my place of work had been robbed either. Reminds me of the only job I've ever worked where the opener opened the store alone. I was a Barista at a shop that was half a cafe, and half a retail electronic/software store. They only scheduled one person to open both, and it'd always be a Barista since the Sales employees couldn't setup the espresso bar, brew coffee, etc. I don't recall how many opens I worked alone (only when I was new), but it was located on the ground level of an office building off a very remote frontage road, right next to a major LA freeway, and had a very modern all-glass design. The _entire_ retail side of the shop was visible from the sidewalk/street outside, with the only "privacy" from the public on the cafe side behind the short dividing wall (where all the bar equipment was hooked up(. The worst was the weekend, when the office building would empty out (along with the two office buildings nextdoor), and it'd just be us... An isolated, slow cafe/retail shop that'd have very few customers, open on that frontage road. The Barista would have to unlock the main office building door into the lobby (elevators remained locked to keycard over the weekend), then unlock the glass double-door entrance to the shop. It really depended who was working, because we didn't have strict policies like a big chain store, but us females would lock ourselves in while most of the 30 min it took to open were spent on the cafe side of the wall, which had a major blindspot to the entrance. Some regulars just expected to be let in before we were fully open, wanting to sit in the cafe, and some we couldn't say "no" to. I already felt extremely vulnerable until my coworker on the retail side arrived ~an hour after the cafe-side opened. Then it'd just be the two of us all day, not always able to see what's going down on the other person's side of the store because of the dividing wall, which is why Batista's usually hung out on the retail side until their was a customer. At least we didn't have to close alone. Meanwhile, absolutely everywhere else I've worked, regardless of industry (including other cafes), business size, or type of work (customer service, admin/receptionist, white collar/office job, crew on movie set, etc) - _always_ had a policy of two openers and two closers. Period. This cafe barely made any money, it was there to support the white collar workers in the building owned by the same company, since the location was too remote for people to easily grab coffee or lunch, so the most that could be stolen was _maybe_ $200 from the till. Maybe. The retail drawer rarely had any cash, they mostly handled online orders or people paid with cards for expensive software/computers/tablets. So if someone broke in our store (thankfully never happened while I was there) no matter what time of day, they weren't there for money... They were there for us... I mean, if they wanted to steal food, our pastry order was left outside not even locked up. And nobody wanted to steal pro payroll/accounting software or insanely obsolete tablets. This case, however, is extremely targeted, given Missy usually held her classes outdoors, and only the day before had to move the class inside a church due to poor weather. She announced it publicly on her social media... It doesn't take rocket appliances to figure out she knew her killer. This was personal. Everybody, follow your gut like OP! Don't push yourself past your comfort level for a job. It's not worth it. Your life is much more important.

This "mystery person" was on a mission, and I think it was to kill Missy Bevers. The person obviously knew no alarms would go off, so they are familiar with the building. One thing that stumps me is what if Missy WAS carrying her firearm? They wouldn`t have a chance against a hammer. The calm demeanor is somewhat disturbing. They are acting like a security guard checking things. I`m with Dr. Grande, theory number one is more likely.

I always try never to be alone in a park, station, street or any building: even a shop or at work. People have been raped at their place of work, and I have seen programmes of women murdered in a shop, because they were the last one in there, and the owner locked the door and killed them. One woman I saw went shopping with her baby and was found murdered. It transpired the shop assistant took a fancy to her, no-one was in the shop, so he locked the door and dragged her into the back room and raped and murdered her there. They got him on camera, and through forensic evidence on the carpet, etc. So these things DO happen. It is not so far fetched.

I guess we don't know if the father-in-law is alibi was bulletproof. I mean he could still be the perpetrator with a concocted alibi that went undetected. He was a cop, so we'd have a better than average idea of how an investigation is conducted, as well as the questioning for alibis, and he's probably not a saint if he was fired for a sexual assault allegation. Furthermore it sounds as though he wasn't charged for sexual assault and that's probably because he was good at covering his ass. Secondly if her husband or his father were ever charged and imprisoned for this, other inmates would find it inconceivable that they just happend to be out of state, and the father just happend to have a similar gate and hight with blood ahis shirt, im sure if you place canine blood over the parts saturated with human blood it would be hard to separate the 2, all the while infidelity and financial problems are present.

Do you really think it reasonable for a person to be on such high awareness mode at most all times, but also upon first sight of what looks like a possible police officer, draw her weapon with enough haste and dexterity as to be able to defend herself. It sucks I know. It is likely one of, if not the main reason for wearing swat-style gear was to get that edge in a suprise attack. Not all crimes or attacks can be fixed "If only gun X Y Z"

Missy was caught off guard. The killer looked weird & was alone with a hammer in hand so she may have realised the intention upon seeing him or her. Or maybe she was distracted when attacked and didn't see it coming. Her husband says he told her to carry her gun but it was still in her car. Weird he said he didn't even care if the police found the killer- like he just wanted to move on from her death. Interesting that the husband & father in law were both out of town when she was killed. And they did not appear emotional when the murder came out.

@@drtuddle I would imagine she could have have a handbag - you know, one of those that cross the torso diagonally and that are fairly compact so you can get to what is inside quick and easy -.and put the gun in it to be at the ready if needed. For all we know, maybe she DID usually keep it on her person when entering the church to teach there, but just this wee pre-dawn morning she simply forgot because she was preoccupied with some thoughts or still waking up. To assume a church complex is safe because it is a church would be rather naive in this day and age. If she herself decided to get a gun and bring it along in her car, it seems pretty silly/sad to leave it in the car in that instance. But could be her husband or someone close to her talked her into carrying a gun - but she was not fully on board with it - and so did it half-heartedly. For all we know this may have been the case, come to think of it. Sadly, we'll never know. That freak that did this still being out there is very sad too. VERY sad.

One explanation for the lack of a burglar alarm is that they are notoriously prone to false triggers in large buildings. The more doors and windows, the more sensors, the more false alarms. False alarms carry expensive fines in most places, and given that a large church likely had a multitude of people coming and going at odd times it makes sense they didn't have one. Cameras though are a must for any large, publicly accessible building. Many insurers require them out of fear of slip-n-fall type lawsuits.

Great analysis - AS usual! I think it looks like a woman, the sway in the gait and the body shape. Though the outward pointing feet when walking is more common in men than women (apparently) due to women having to compensate for having a wider pelvis, the person was walking slowly around so changing their normal gait would be easier, also wearing boots/shoes that are too big/too small can change the normal gait. Add a rock in the shoe and you can have a convincing limp. I think she was set up. I don't think it was a burglar. What is there to steal in a church? Generally? Maybe a little cash. Maybe some candlesticks/religious items. Why bring a hammer to a burglary? Wouldn't a crowbar be more "efficient"? And nothing was missing afterward? Also, could have had a fairly good chance (I think) to talk their way out without hurting her by impersonating a Police officer. Unless the fake riot gear looked really fake in person. Then maybe I can see it escalating to a scuffle. However, IF it was a burglar, I hope the Police went over OLDER surveillance for a similar-looking person. A burglar would possibly have visited the place and know where to go or have an idea of where to go. I don't think many burglars would just stroll around opening doors willy nilly. I hope they find the person(s) responsible.

this was a good comment ☺️ I was wondering about how one would keep up with a fake limp, like it would be really easy to forget that you're supposed to be walking in this unnatural way and revert back to your typical walk, ESPECIALLY when you know you're about to murder someone. I imagine your mind would probably be elsewhere and not super focused on how you're walking. so the rock in the shoe makes total sense, if it was a fake walk. definitely agree that murdering Missy would be a huge risk if this person was just a random burglar, and I thought what you said about the riot gear possibly looking really fake and obviously costume-y in person was a good insight. also yeah I hope the police looked thru previous surveillance video of past services, Missy's classes, etc. to see if they could spot someone with a similar gait. anyway I just thought you had some good insights and you filled in a few little holes I was wondering about or just hadn't even considered ☺️

Great analysis Dr. Grande. I love 💘your what can we learn from this statements. It's so much better to learn about these stories when not dramatized for entertainment of other people's misery. And you always tell them with respect for the victim, and even when you don't have a positive analysis of someone, you still find something to say to their credit. You already have a little Budda in you, just said in psychological terms instead of spiritual. 🙂💞💨

I love your videos and your dry humor. Your psychological breakdown of murder suspects in videos is soooo relaxing and right on!!! This case in particular I found SO intriguing. I think Bevers dad drove down here n killed her n left his phone in Cali in his traveling RV. He had zero alibi. His humped over spine issues n feet placement looked SO VERY much like the killer. Even his “look up” at the half door was a struggle to look up due to his spine issue. This case haunts me.

An interesting analysis. I think the hammer was a weapon meant to subdue MB, the other tool meant to kill. I am hopeful that the murderer will eventually be discovered and the family will know peace. Can you please analyze the case of Eugene Palmer of Rockland Cty, NYS, who murdered his daughter-in-law.

Some older men might walk like that. It's hard to tell. But a woman impersonating a male police officer ? That would be unheard of.

I will be shocked if it's a woman. It's just odd to me how certain some people are in their belief it is a female. The funny thing is that it would be a specific body type. But that body type exists in men as well.

My first thought it is a woman as well. If one commits murder a pre planned murder likely be in disguise and what better than hide ones gender to throw off cops. This was done in a similar case where a dude wanted his X girlfriend murdered before she could testify against him in court. His new girlfriend disguised herself as a man and waited for the X to return. Shot and killed her before she exited her car.

Same. The first time I saw the CCTV I was like "it's a woman!" The person has the typical chubby woman walk, the way they kind of "sit" back on their hips as they walk, feet turned out, very slow and flat footed. I know loads of big butted, big hipped ladies who walk like this.
