The other "3 People" to have seen Gyokko's true form by the way was Muzan, the other 2 were Hashira who were strong enough to force Gyokko to use all his power and reveal his true form before Gyokko eventually won killing the Hashira. A little difference in the manga compared to Anime, in the manga Gyokko turned and had both hands up sensing Muichiro behind him and was ready to crush Muichiro's head like a watermelon luckily Muichiro's 7th form dulled Gyokko's Senses enough that Muichiro was able to stealth kill even though Gyokko sensed the attack coming, after he was decapitated that's the reason why he didn't even realize his head was detached, a really cool detail the anime left out.

So Gyokko's backstory is in the databook for the series, the reasons for this is Because A: Time restrictions on the author's part and B: Gyokko's backstory was too graphic and disturbing to show, I'll write it below but if any has any of these Triggers, don't read: Implied Necrophilia, Child Murder, Implied Bestiality, Dead Parents, Extreme Torture, eye gouging, Burning skin with sand, being flayed, having boiling hot water poured over you, Animal Torture, Animal Death etc etc. Okay so Gyokko born as Managi (While he was still human) was a human who lived with his parents in a fishing village at the edge of a coastline who prospered in a fish boom and used it to gain resources for a happy life, the fish boom caused prosperity and happiness among the village and eventually the village became known for its amazing fishing, Managi learned one day that both his parents went out on a fishing trip and never returned presumed dead and drowned, it was confirmed when their bodies ended up on shore bloated and deformed having drowned far out at sea, this made Managi snap and develop a grotesque fascination with corpses akin to an artist's love for their work, he spent his days and night capturing fish and playing with them as-well-as "Doing other strange things to them.", as such the village was disgusted with Managi who also began to become worse, torturing the fish with sharp objects gleefully. It became his obsession (Possibly as a way for him to cope losing his parents, he blamed the fish or sea as a whole as the reason and so by killing its creatures and torturing them it gave him satisfaction) nonetheless his habits led him being ostracised, many of the villagers seeing him as insane and left him be on the outskirts not to bother them, this changed however when some of the children in the village purposefully taunted and bullied him for his dead parents, his poor mental state and his obsession with fish. Managi had gone insane at that point and killed one of the children with a fish hook, stuffing their body into a pot (Very much like how he killed that villager in this arc) enjoying the twisted form of the child and seeing it as his artwork...when the parents of the son Managi killed found out, they dragged him onto the beach shore, stabbed him repeatedly with a fishing hook (Possibly the same one that killed their son), flayed his whole skin off, poured boiling hot water over him, stuffed the sand into his wounds and flesh to burn him and torture him, used the fishing hook to remove his eyeballs and then left him to bleed out and die on the shore, luckily or unluckily for Managi before he succumbed to wounds (He survived his injuries for approximently 12 hours before Muzan found him), during the night Muzan spotted him and upon hearing what Managi did to the child and learning his story which became quite a tale in his village, Muzan knew Managi was the perfect addition to his demons and turned Managi quickly before death could claim him. So onto why Gyokko (A reference to Junji Ito's novel Gyo - A story about Fish taking over the world) acts the way he does, he's insane straight up, he began to hate humans and see them nothing more than tools for his art after essentially losing his mind to the torture he endured and what little humanity he had left was snuffed out by Muzan, Gyokko's body was so badly deformed, so badly tortured and broken that when he transformed into a demon the form resembles the form we see him in the anime/manga, no skin texture just pale white, he would've had no eyes it's hard to determine what his true form would've looked like because once Gyokko reached Upper-Moon 5 and had more blood potency and power due to Muzan's blood he would construct his own body into a 'work of art' and that's why he has baby arms for hair, mouths for eyes, one eye on his forehead and one eye where his mouth should be, he designed his new form as the form he started out in would've been deformed and he would've had no power to change his form until becoming an Upper-Rank. His Blood Demon Art manifests as the same Pot he used to stuff the child's body into and his actual powers mimic his grotesque love for fish that he blames for having destroyed his human life.

When Tokito killed the oni that killed his brother, he was several injuried as we see, because of everything that happend, his mind locked this memories of the trauma, making him forget everything all the time and be like that, more cold and serious. Its like he forgot not just all that stuff but also his personalite, but as we saw him talking to tanjiro, his eyes glow again and he acted more like he was before until he remembered everything. And one more thing: tokito is the youngest hashira, he is just 14, like nezuko (the most young of all characters since we never got the ages of sumi, naho and kiyo, shinobus little girls), the others hashiras ages are: shinobu is 18, mitsuri is 19, rengoku was 20, obanai tomioka and sanemi are 21, uzui is 23 and gyomei is 27, they are very young due to the demon slayers dont live too much

Yeah I’m happy gyokko didn’t get a backstory. But if you wanted to know his I’m pretty sure he killed a few kids and was a fisherman. And the parents came and beat the hell out of him and muzan stumbled across him and decided to give him some blood cause he could tell he was twisted. The less humanity one has as a human the more the flourish as a demon. Sorry long winded! Love the reactions

UM5 finally died! Here I leave you an explanation to better understand how Muichiro was able to quickly defeat Gyokko thanks to the seventh form. It's not in any way that Gyokko was weak, it was Upper Moon 5 for a reason, it's just that Muichiro seventh form + the mark was too much for this demon. "Mist Breathing is a Breathing Style that mimics mist, specifically the obscurity of mist, and replicates it with the user's movements, techniques and abilities. Most, if not all, known techniques and forms involve obscure movements and attacks that disorientate and confuse the target, similar to how a thick layer of mist obscures one's vision. Users of Mist Breathing also visualize themselves seemingly creating and manipulating mist when unleashing its techniques. Based on Mist Breathing's only known user, Muichiro, who wears baggy clothing that covers his arms and legs in order to conceal his movements as much as possible, it can be assumed that most other users would also have to don clothing that hide their limbs from their enemy in order to fully maximize the potential of this Breathing Style". Seventh form: the personal creation of Muichiro. A movement-based technique designed to heavily disorientate the target, which is done so by fluctuating the user's tempo. When the user appears before the target, they move incredibly slow, but then accelerate to blistering speeds before getting hit, making it seem like they disappeared into a cloud of mist. When done repeatedly, it can disorientate the target to the point of making them think they are being covered in a thick layer of mist.

Kokushibo explains it clearly right in Infinity castle for anime only watchers also Gyomei's technique. I love when he does that.
