I too went walking in the nature once. I enjoyed this story very much. I grew up near a forest and got lost a few times. But one time that scarred me forever was when I lost track of time and the sun was going down, the fog came in and everything seemed so unfamiliar. As in this story, I had a panic attack and forced myself to calm down and eventually made it home scrapped and bruised from tripping over tree roots. This story really hit home and sincerely brought that fear back. lol I've moved to city and haven't been out hiking in a long long time but I guess once you experience a certain fear, it stays with you forever.

This is the best creepypasta there is, Instead of just violence and monsters, it can all be "explained" by pretty much anyone and nothing even directly came after them in a violent manner. It's good because it's grounded,realistic and to anyone that's actually been up in the highlands for a good while like me will tell you the mist there can be just like this.

Logic and reason do take a vacation when your walking the woods at night. I live in Washington State and there are INCREDIBLY dense woods here, to where theyre actually classified as the only rain forest in North America, and you walk a forest path out there at night and it can be pants crapping-ly terrifying at times. I've had difficulty hearing people if they round a bend because the brush is so thick t mutes the sounds. I have family from Thailand who say its thicker than the forests they have.

I think I love this as I adore hiking, I can go 25 miles in a day, it kills me to do it but I can. I have been terrified by doing so Do you know how horrifying a simple fox can sound? they can literally give off demonic sounding screams.
