Hi Both. About the bad night's sleep, we always keep wax ear plugs in our caravan, which can be an immense help against rain noise on the roof, when well fitted. (tip: soften/warm them first for a good fit). Foam ear plugs we find useless ! Enjoying your trip, thank you, but we wouldn't really enjoy that weather at all. Cheers !

Great to see the authentic Harris Tweed, have seen it for sale in shops in Scotland and England but you can’t beat the real authentic stuff from the place it’s self can you. Shame the weather turned, still some great views. Definitely Wizard in the Wild 😀 Not good it disturbed your sleep. You are braver than me! We were ok that night, where we were parked up on Barra, but we had two really bad nights when on Lewis. The first night, we got up about 4am and moved the van. The second night, my anxiety levels were through the roof and I was up most of the night having panic attacks! As you said, it's the noise that is the worst thing about it. I have now bought a bluetooth headband so when we are in Scotland and they forecast winds, I can sleep with music playing in my ears to block out the noise! Suzie xx

I really enjoy the quality and pace of your vlogs. We like the stormy weather when we're tucked up warm and cosy in the van. We've had a couple of howlers on Skye! But I agree that the sleepless nights can be a bit off putting.

Gosh that was a crazy night!! The sound of the wind was bad enough but when the rain started! 😨 We’ve had gales and torrential rain but not together like that 😨😨 But what view to wake up to! Great to be able to see across to Uig. Harris Tweed was wonderful to watch. Such a beautiful island!!

I love a wild night in the van. A few places I love to be when the wind and rain are heavy. Always get a lovely sleep. Lindsay however worries about everything including the wind and rain. We have snow forecast for this weekend but it does not fell like snow. Hope you are all well.
