Scott is not only a brilliant guitarist but an extremely innovative musician. His language continues to develop over the years and he always reinvents himself with each album. Furthermore, a great teacher. He and Scofield are my favorite guitarists.

Scott should do a one-off ECM album. It would do extremely well compared to most of what ecm have released lately. Imagine that....Scott Henderson on ECM ! Bill Conners also undertook this therapy after experiencing scientological abuse

I completely love Scott. He's been a hero to me for many years. I'm attending his next gig in Madrid in March and I really can't wait. He is truly innovative with an extraordinary unique style, a mixture of ferocity and exquisite technique, which in my opinion is the stuff many other players only can dream about. His last album is a tour de force in terms of playing and creating a musical landscape like no other. If you still didn´t, please go and make sure you get it because you'll be amazed. Thanks Andy for bringing Scott to the channel. He is without a doubt the guitar player who many of us guitar players would like to be.

Best part for me was two fellow Ritchie and Jeff fans raving about their heroes. Wherever you are on the pedestal of musicians there's always the respect for those who motivated us to pick up an instrument in the first place. A shout out to Simon McBride who is holding the position for Purple at the moment. Great long and enjoyable chat guys. Looking forward to hearing the new album. Thanks Andy and Scott :)

Scott is a real treasure. Seen him many times in small clubs in LA, Potato, Alva’s, MI. a close friend of mine used to make his cabinets (Kerry Wright). We would go see him, always an amazing show. This is the perfect venue for him to tell his story and explore his works.

I love listening to Scott's wisdom. He'd probably hate to hear those words! but it's true. Ever since watching his melodic phrasing vids, hearing his thoughts on guitarwank, checking out his online forum, his chord book, having attended a couple of his masterclasses in London, plus various other interviews... He's simply a fount of truth and knowledge about music and I love him for that. Plus he's a very, very funny and unfiltered dude. Oh, and his music is amazing. Thanks Scott!
@frankierodriguez866110 ай бұрын
Guitar Wank is the best podcast there is. His rants and interaction with Bruce Forman and Troy the host are simply hilarious and of course you can learn more about guitar with these cats in half an hour than in a week in Berkeley. simply phenomenal.

Really look forward to hearing "Karnevel!" I'd love to hear Scott with his usual distorted sounds but with an upright acoustic bass (or two), and with one of those sizzlingly hot all-round-capable skinny swinging fat funky four-eyed drummers you hear nowadays. I have new respect for Scott after hearing his take on Chick Corea. I saw Chick many times before & after he transitioned to Jazz/Rock, including Return to Forever's first gig at Max's Kansas City, spoke with many of the band members (Steve Gadd, Mingo Lewis, Bill Connors, Airto), and witnessed his backstage demeanor, which was weird and created an unpleasant environment. I wouldn't have lasted ten minutes with someone like that.
