The In-N-Out burger is a wonderful blank canvas. Unlike other places, it offers real grilled onions and other toppings that are not just ground up uncooked onions, old ketchup, mustard, and maybe wilted lettuce. Everything is top quality as are the personnel that you interact with.

I work at in-n-out and a couple inaccuracies I noticed: monkey style is not a thing you can order. If you want to try it you can put it together yourself. Also other things like monkey style fries, roadkill fries, and Oreo shakes also don't exist they were just fake TikTok trends. Animal style burgers do NOT come with regular onion, just grilled onion by default. If you'd like both types or any combination of onions you can specify that. If you'd like to order a double hamburger (without cheese) it's called a double meat, or 3 would be a triple meat and so on. Another thing customers commonly do is order a "number one animal style" and expect it to have the both the burger and the fries animal style. We don't do the fries animal style unless you specify because they cost extra, while the animal style burger is the same price. I always ask the customer, "would you like the fries animal style as well?" to make sure they're getting what they want

I don’t go often to IN AND OUT but the location by my house in Canyon Country CA at the Sand Canyon exit off the 14 freeway always had great service and burgers of course. On one occasion I stopped in inside to order as I preferred to do placed my order, the employee was so nice and polite I gave her $ 5.00 tip. She didn’t know what to do Called a manager so she didn’t get in trouble. The manager smiled at as and told her good job it’s yours Keep it. 🍔🍔👍

I get a Cheeseburger Animal Style, plus raw onion slice, plus chopped chiles on it. You will get both the grilled onions and the slice of raw onion on it. Of course all the rest is also there automatically, pickles, tomato, lettuce, extra sauce, patty mustard fried. Do not let them substitute raw onion for the grilled. When you say plus raw onion, they may ask if you would like the grilled onions to be left off, so if you get asked that say no. And the chopped chiles are an important addition.

My go-to is a 3x3 animal style, no tomato no lettuce, well done. People that say their fries are bad don't get that they fry them in sunflower oil, not vegetable oil. It's an acquired taste. Fries are cut and cooked from whole potatoes, never frozen. They're cut and fried immediately.

In-N-Out doesn't have a presence east of Texas (yet). They're opening up new facilities in Tennessee though, so it might make it to NYC one day. The chain, though popular since it opened in the 1940s, didn't expand much beyond California until recent decades.

Just ask, you can still get an 8x8 on a daily, most managers will not say no. Ask for a Scooby Snack, which is a plain burger or cheeseburger cut in quarters. My favorite is a double double Scooby Snack.

you can get those at just about ANY burger place- my dog's name was cisco and he loved in-n-out, too. cisco always got a plain hamburger cuz he liked the bun, as well. best dog EVER.

When I'm lucky enough to be in a city that has an In-n-Out Burger, I always order a "bare bones" burger consisting of a single patty, no cheese, and just lettuce, tomato, and onions. I don't know about the rest of you, but when I bite into an In-n-Out burger I want to taste the meat, NOT the drippy condiments.

There is no such thing as a Monkey style burger. People have been making this mistaken claim for years, but I wouldn't be surprised if not a single In-n-Out you go to would even know what that means, much-less make it for you lol
