Ima probably go after a hen. I haven't got a turkey yet and had my closes call during spring. I'm not gona be picky until I get one. Any turkey is a damn good accomplishment for me right now.

This is my first year hunting Turkeys. I've been finding them in hardwood ridges while out Deer Scouting. I'm going out today Deer scouting and hoping I encounter some Turkeys. Here in Maine, we are overrun with Turkeys.

I want to thank you for your channel. I have been following you for a couple of years and have learned so much. I'm a traditional bow hunter so I'm crazy but still your tips on calling and how to hunt really made a difference. Also your bow hunting videos are great. You give good sound advice and it's like listening to a real hunter and not a tv advertisement for hunting gear. I did get one of your signature box calls and it got a tom in at 20 yards but not a clear enough shot. Your a good man and fine mentor to people like me that just enjoy being out and hunting keep up the great work.👏

I've fall hunted the last two years on public land. Very tough! I'm always one step behind them. I'll sit at one spot for hours, get up to move, and see a few turkeys running across the road only a few hundred yards away. I really gotta work on my calling!

Very good video. It's so easy to forget that fall Turkeys don't respond as they do on Spring. I've always checked the food sources often looking for fresh sign then once I find it I settle in and begin to fall call. The hard part is getting my brain switched to fall mode. Thanks. A great refresher on fall turkeys. 👍👍

Matt, great info as usual. I like to plant a food plot for them in the spring and fall. I prefer pine power lines for plotting with clover, chicory, rye, wild grapes and wild cherry around the edges. they seem to like the sandy soil to dust in and the grit it provides. we can't bait here or use chufa so I provide the food for them. I like to set in a blind and use a trail camera to track the times they are using the plot. loved the material on gobbler and jake yelping and will add those to my fall arsenal.

Just found your channel and I can say I have learned a lot about fall turkey hunting. I have been going to Ohio with my dad and some friends on some private land we got permission to hunt but I just found out last year that they have a fall season. Do you know of any call makers that make a jake Yelp call or gobbler Yelp call?? Thank you for the info and help.

No better time to be in the turkey woods. Heaven must be made of October days on a hardwood ridge.
