This brings back memories of nearly all kits when I was a kid. They were terrible compared to today's nearly snap together kits. That's where I learned my modelling skills. I you've never had a kit with enough flash to make another model, you haven't lived, lol. As bad as this sounds, I think I'd give it shot.

I would recommend Mistercraft kits for kids as they are so cheap and great for Saturday builds -Sunday blow-ups. For the rest of us I find using Scalemates database prior to purchase allows one to pick up the gems while avoiding the duds. Cutting your teeth on lousy kits is good training but there is always the trade-off between effort and result, sows ears have a tendency not to want to become silk purses.

I appreciate that you have made a real effort and produced at least something from this effort. I understand the frustration, we have all been there. Myself, I appreciate the challenge of trying to make something presentable from older models, especially as the subjects can be so much more diverse than currently available, ie endless spitfires...... I recently completed a build of the re-released Airfix Hawker Demon, a very old kit, but satisfying to complete with modernish decal quality and an unusual subject, even though aligning the overly thick wing struts was so frustrating, I eventually gave up and simply glued them in place where they were, filling and sanding the original fixing holes as no way were they going in there! Keep up the good work, and never get disheartened. Since the 15 years plus I have rediscovered modeling, I have made similar mistakes to your use of the spray varnish, just learn and move on to the next build. Reassuringly therapeutic in these difficult times.

Nothing shall ever compare with the 2 month nightmare I spent on a pretty ordinary 1/72 Sukhoi-9 model from some obscure east european manufacturer. Picked it up for next to nothing. I hated every minute of that frustrating build I dont know why I continued with it I tried to correct it and enhance it along the way with scratchbuilt bits, extra polishing, dremelling and randomly jigging some wires in various places just for looks ... but the flaws in the model are so obvious whenever I look closely at it. Haven't started it yet but by Mister Hobby's standards this looks like one of the better ones. Could be a nice build with a bit of luck.

I must admit to liking cheaper kits because it allows a certain amount of scratch building which comes from enjoyable research. But because there is only few parts make its rather quick to build. Painting schema is also easy (best colours for it are from Hataka - Dark Polish Khaki is the proper one). If you spend a little more time, use putty and sanding stick, more knife, proper colours and do not finish with total disaster with varnish in spray it could be nice model. But I guess you chose to build it as is. I have few PZL-37 from early production (blue plastic, very good transparent parts) and quality is much better than after four decades of using this molding forms. It is simple but nice model. Most of Polish modellars had started their journey building only few commonly available models (PZL-37, JAK-1, IL-2m3, RWD-14, RWD-8, PZL-23, PZL P.11 and few gliders). Sometimes there were also Czechoslovakian models and Matchboxes in shops dedicated for scout boys :). By the way, your voice sounds very good. It was pleasure to hear you during all movie.

You made a mistake on polish insignias. Right upper part must be white, when You look at the model with tail closer to You.

Now you have been modeling for several years, it is time for you to step up to an airbrush, there is nothing Magic about that, Start practicing on some cardboard and some scrap plastic, and your building results will take a big step Up 😀

Mistercraft kits can be rather hit and miss sadly, they generally need a lot more fettling to get a good result.

You're very generous. Even if some of the actual kits themselves have aged well, the "Maistercraft / Mastercraft touch" is a killer. Wrong instructions, missing decals etc. I swear they won't catch me again.

I only buy Mistercraft if I know it is a Heller rebox, because I know Heller is good. Nice work on the plane. Don't lose your will on building models, just try to avoid this kind of models. First check the model on scalemates and You will know what are you buying. I once bought from Mistercraft Caudron 714 and Aichi Type 99 Pearl Harbour, and both ended up in the trash. Not worth my energy or my time.

It seems that Łoś was an ok bomber for its time, so was pzl p-11, but there were too few of them and their time was somewhere around 1920, therefore they were a bit outclassed by things like 109s, he-111s, even hurricanes, not to mention the first spitfires and newer 109s which appeared around early 1940. After the fall of Poland, a few remaining polish aircraft was used mainly for testing and as trainers by luftwaffe or by few other airforces. Some countries did buy a few of Łoś when it came out before war, and I think it might've even inspired some early war bombers. But they were never used on any bigger scale, therefore being somewhat forgotten by history

I sorry but you made critical mistake while making the model. Polish roundels - The Checkerboard with white square in upper left corner is the way it's right now. Before the war and during Cold War the red square was in upper left corner.
