In today's video I show you 8 useful life hacks for protection such as sanitizer and disinfectant from basic materials (alcohol 70%, glycerin, water, essential oil, hydrogen peroxide), wet napkin enhanced protection (from chlorhexidine) and also how to make simple but very effective face mask. It will be two options. First one is two disposable from kitchen paper, tissue paper and rubber bands and second two is reusable from cotton, plastic wrap and gauze and plastic bottle, cotton medical wool, viscose napkin, activated carbon. This mask has air filter that can be easily replaced and used again. Take care!

For all you folks pointing out gaps and his beard on the first respirator it doesn’t matter. This is a Positive Pressure system, honestly he needs more CFMs and slightly higher pressure but the system is sound. Look up 3Ms system, it is virtually identical, not as fancy, not as capable, but the components are all there. I’ve used those 3M systems for years and this is exactly how they function. Brilliant job.

Here's a friendly tip when putting on a mask if it has to bans like yours does. Wen you put it on, take the bottom stap and put it so it goes above your ears then take the top strap and put it below your ears so they criss cross it will make a better fit cool mask btw

coke bottle mask is one i can work with, only I will make the filter changeable. I might use a plastic juice bottle which ever works best for me. But thank you for the idea. one and two liter coke bottle are good for face shield also. Thank you.

I think all of these hacks are BS. He waters down alcohol to like 40% when we keep getting told it's supposed to be at least 70%. Breathing through that plastic, yeah right. A paper towel? A giant gap in the side of your paper towel face mask? Unsafe.

I changed my thumbs-down to a thumbs-up simply because you didn't present these PPE 'hacks' as being anything other than what they are, which is "better than nothing". But most of them do not provide adequate protection and would only serve to give the wearer a false sense of security when, in fact, they were still quite vulnerable to infection. I'd guess that half these designs provide no more than single digit protection against viral contamination. But there is some value in seeing some of your techniques, resourcefulness, and the fact that many of these designs would be more effective in keeping the wearers fluids to themselves... so... 👍

Bad idea on the sanitizer. If you start with 40 ml of 70% alcohol, then add 20 ml more of other liquid, then you have just diluted the alcohol by one third to give you a final percentage of only 46.2% alcohol. Not nearly a high enough percentage of alcohol to be a sanitizer. Be very careful of what information you give to others, release of liability disclaimer notwithstanding, because in that case it has the potential to be deadly, giving people an enormously false sense of security that could literally kill them. You cannot add liquids to other liquids and think that the concentrations of either liquids remains the same. And that’s giving you the benefit of the doubt on the percentage. Another way of figuring that out is that since 20 ml is one/half of 40 ml, you have diluted the alcohol by one/half which would make it only 35%. Even more drastic a cut. And touching is more likely the mode of most common transmission.

At 6:30 -- I'm not sure about the viscose or the cotton wool, but while the activated carbon sounds great, it by itself filters out only 5-10% of tiny particulates like viruses. Just saying.
