A, (2024): You're absolutely right. I'm sorry. Making Chara that way was not my idea, but ultimately it was my decision to include it in the video, and it's something I deeply regret to this day. The design has long since been changed to make Chara look like they do in the original game. There are many things I wish I could revert about this video, but this is by far the biggest one. This is an old video I made when I was still young and irresponsible -- I was dumb, it was dumb, and I'm embarrassed by it. Again, I'm genuinely sorry. - Q: Will this be made into a game? But don't worry, I'll continue to make new themes and new videos while we wait :) - Q: Is this going to be a full game? A: Maybe. But if we don't end up with a full game, we'll make a sprite comic instead. - Q: How did Sans survive the first hit? A: Asgore healed him using the same magic Toriel used at the begging of the game. - Q: Why didn't Asgore heal Sans a 2nd time? A: The way you defeat them "in-game" is by attacking them in a pattern. First Asgore, then Sans and so on. Eventually Sans will be too tired to dodge and get hit, but by this point, Asgore is too tired to heal him, so he decides to try and kill us with a finishing attack. - Q: Are we fighting Chara and Flowey? A: No, the Player is Chara, and Flowey is on their side. They are not teaming up with Sans and Asgore. I just made them appear on the screen whenever their motifs played. We're fighting against Sans and Asgore, and then Gaster. - Q: Why is Sans hit so early? Why doesn't he dodge? A: As he finishes his speech, Flowey wraps him in his vines and we stab him. He still dodges after he's healed and the main fight begins, at least until we tire him out. - Q: What happens to Frisk in the AU? A: On all routes, we start and play as Frisk. However, on Genocide, we slowly turn into Chara, and at the end of it, we completely swapped bodies. Frisk does not have any defined gender and it's up to the Player's interpretation. - Q: Where is Kindness and Justice (Green and Yellow soul) A: They're inside the Delta Blaster's eyes. - Q: Are Papyrus and Undyne still alive? A: Nope, they aren't. I tried to somehow show this by using a blur transition (resembling dust), but I can see how some people didn't get it. They're merely memories that I just included whenever their motifs played in the tracks. Sans is also a memory like that during Phase 4. - Q: Does Chara kill Flowey at the end? A: Yes. The only way to defeat Delta Gaster is to reach LV21, which is only possible after betraying Flowey and killing him for EXP. - Q: Will you do Pacifist/Neutral or is Wonderful Idea Genocide only? A: Nope, there will be separate themes and videos for Pacifist/Neutral. - Q: How is Gaster alive? A: In Undertale, we don't exactly know what the barrier is made out of, and how exactly it operates. All we know is that it's made out of "magic", but that's a very brief explanation. What if, the magic inside it, is able to create a pocket of void, which is what makes it so unpassable, just like you can't leave the void, you can't pass through the barrier all by yourself. And that's where Gaster is. Although he can't leave on his own, because he lacks a human soul to do it. (I explain it a bit further on the Discord Server). - Q: Why doesn't Asgore use his trident? A: He does, he even blocks our attacks with it. I just couldn't include it in the video because of the limited space. Plus, it would've been really hard to center Sans and Asgore if he had his trident out. That being said, he will absolutely use his trident in the game. - Q: Why didn't Asgore or Sans absorb the human souls before Gaster? A: It's implied in the original game that Asgore was too scared to use them on himself, so the same situation happens here. I doubt Sans would've genuinely absorbed them himself either. There are also some monsters that have evacuated and are still alive. Asgore would rather avoid spending the souls needed to free the remaining monsters, in case he and Sans were to win the battle. - Q: Why can you reach LV21? LV20 is the final in the original. A: Because I wanted to have an impactful and logical ending. You actually kill more monsters during Wonderful Idea's genocide than you do in the original and some of them give more EXP. Betraying Flowey at the end also gives you much more EXP than usual. - Q: Why isn't Papyrus wearing some sort of royal guard armor? A: He is. We have a design for it already, but it was made a bit too late into the development of the video to implement it. You can see it here in his theme that's already on SoundCloud- soundcloud.com/misterkaze/wonderful-idea-towering-greatness - Q: Why doesn't Toriel appear next to Asgore? A: Because silly me didn't put enough Toriel motifs in the tracks. She and her motifs will appear a lot during Asgore's unique theme for Wonderful idea though. She will also receive her own theme too. - Q: Why is Phase 1 so short? A: Because it's just an intro to the fight. - Q: What personality traits are amplified for the other characters? A: I don't know all of them yet. However, only the traits that will make the journey harder will be amplified. That means Alphys won't turn shyer and Sans will not get lazier. - (I'll be adding more questions to here soon!)

As much as people hate the “angry sans” in the video, leading to its eventual change in the project, I personally kinda like the angry effect Sans has. It’s almost as if Sans, after seeming so harmless and weak before the player murded Papyrus, took a more twisted and vengeful appearance, exactly why it’s so different from his actual personality. I really think the “angry sans” evokes more fear of hell, as stated by the name “Hadephobia”. It really shows the player REALLY screwed up and the fact that there’s no turning back.

Am I the only one who needs to play this soon as possible? I mean, this is the most interesting Undertale AU I've ever seen, the concept is just a infinite source for a huge and great history getting deeper on what the original game provided us. And what can I say about the songs? They all fit perfectly in a way that is almost scary, specially talking about a character like Gaster who we don't know much about, and still the song kinda reflects him very well. This type of work needs to be recognized and supported, it may look "just another fangame song compilation" but for me is a genius giving us a sample from what he can do not only for the fanbase, but in other original projects. Just needed to say that.

Ngl, this is really cool. Would love to see a full game someday. It's pretty ingenious that in hard mode, every character would be themselves but more extreme, and I like how the music seems to not only emphasize the strength of the characters you're fighting, but also those that they've lost because of you. I also like how Gaster's Megalovania punches us right back into Homestuck. The spritework is amazing, it made Sans and Asgore look genuinely menacing, I liked how Omegaster brought back Sans (patience) and Papyrus (bravery) as parts of his form and how their theme accompanies his, I loved Gaster's voice clips, I love how you bothered to use CORE. Balancing-wise I don't think LV21 should be enough to kill a 6-sould Gaster, considering Gaster is extremely powerful and how 6 souls is one step below godhood, but still cool.

This theoretical logic of soul coloring only applies to AUs in which it is specifically referenced, but it’s still not very logical anyways, as the Souls, by the logic of color combination and inverses, would oppose each other perfectly in theory. AKA, Integrity (Blue) and Bravery (Orange) are not exact opposites by default. After each boss it the motif gets more and more prevalent, making the player think it was the boss theme, or “a theme of determination”. However, during the last fight it does not play at all, until you strike them down. Then, it becomes overwhelmingly powerful, as the player realizes it is THEIR theme? I think the player having a theme and then it mixing in during the boss fight would be kinda cool!

Good idea, but undertale (and by extension this AU) is more a game where you think of ennemies as actual peoples and not bosses. Your idea could be good for little fights that aren’t bosses, because using only one theme for bosses, even if it makes the last one More intense, would kill a lot of these bosses identity

Woah, great job! I love putting a ton of motifs into my music and I think this is the most detailed analysis of them I ever got! While there are a bunch of ones you missed, and some that weren't intentional - still awesome job though, most of them are correct! Here are a few that I remember off the top of my head: - At the very start of GLFM (1:27) you can hear the first two notes from ASGORE, and later at 1:28 in the background, there's the same ASGORE motif that you found later (from 2:05) - In Hadephobia at 3:44 you can hear both Megalovania's bridge motif and my own interpretation of a certain ASGORE motif being played on a flute - At 5:04 there's also an ASGORE motif being played on a flute - The solo in Hadephobia (5:50) has a ton of other motifs as well - Also, the melody playing in the background isn't Memory, it's sans. and a bit of Gaster's theme - you can actually hear it isolated in here if you want soundcloud.com/misterkazesimples/aw-bird-on-asgore - Regressus has a few motifs playing in the background when the drums kick in - More Than Meets The Eye uses Gaster Blaster's motif at exactly 13:00 There are probably a few more but even I can't remember all.
