Giving somi back would just continue the cycle, Reed goes back to being used as a sleeper agent and somi most likely will have her memory wiped. Theyll just be puppets to another heartless corporation. At least in this ending, both are freed from their duties

Yeah, you're definitely meant to play both endings. The bunker mission was insane... and they put an Amnesia-like stealth horror section too. But the showdown with Reed and Song is so good.

It was always going to be this way. This is Night City after all. On top of that Myers and NUSA were never going to be any better than Arasaka. Songbird was just a pawn in their little war after all. This was the best way to end it...then Nomad ending for V.

They’re slightly better than Arasaka. They actually cure you, there are downside, but there’s no perfect cure we know of. V sells out Song (who would sell out everyone) and has to kill Johnny (personally I hate killing him). The NUSA will put you in a desk job or let you return to NC to live out your life as an random guy at worst, or a Fixer at best. I always choose the Reaper ending, I wanna go down with Johnny in a blaze.

Honestly, the better ending depends on how you view So mi as a person. I have a friend who views her as being in the same boat as us and respects her every choice, cuz she is doing it to survive (just like us). Consequently, he got the moon ending and thinks it is the best one. I also view her as being in the same boat as us, but I on the other hand was opting for a more rational solution. Thus getting the cynosure bunker ending, which I think is the best. It just shows that the ending some people find best or worse all depends on their overall view (on the value of life and life itself, on So mi, on every person you encounter, etc.). The best ending is not a fixed one. It is your ending. The ending that resulted from the choices that you made, but only if you are truly contempt and 'satisfied' with that ending. Not if you find yourself looking for objective ways to prove that your ending was better, cuz in this scenario there is no such thing as objective. In this case, what is objective depends on your overall view (like I said earlier). And sure you could say ''this is canon and how it would have ended if this story was real'', but where is the fun in that. If the devs had intended for it to be that clear-cut, they might aswel have made a story without choices. Man, this comment turned out to be way longer than I wanted it to be.

Objective always exists, even if you dont see it or dont want to. The 'best' ending if you want to stay rational, would be killing everyone who crossed V so they cant do it again; despite all its other side stories, the core of cp2077 is "might makes right". But this ending isnt in the game, it forces you to choose some of the ppl who might live and or who might die along the way, but you cant take down everyone.

I shot Reed in the head because I thought I'd lose otherwise. The dramatic death animation doesn't play. Shit it's even more detailed than RDR2 in some ways.

There is no good endings in the DLC, just sad endings all round. Which I don't mind, kind of a powerful message showing V still continue even after being backstabbed, shot at and just having the world be against them.

It's kinda debatable, but I think the “King of Wands” is the text implied best ending of PL. It's certainly the one that fits in best with the themes of the game. But yes, it comes at a high price and certainly isn't a 'happy ever after' or Mass Effect style 'perfect ending'. That being said, I think any ending in which Somi ends up back with the FIA are pretty clearly the worst endings.

Easily the best ending. It was obvious from the start she wouldn't actually be able to cure you (this is CYBERPUNK we're talking about), but you saved somebody who was in the same shitty situation you were. Difference is she didn't have somebody inside her head trying to help her, but AIs trying to destroy her. Im very happy with this choice.

Best out come is this: betray so mi in firestarter then kill her per her request. Thus overall Makes it so you could experience all of her back story the horror game moment and some other but in the process you liberate her from any further harm from anyone she's finally free of everything on top of that breed will thank you for doing it yes you'll be put it in a desk job a desk job but hes still alive hes happy that he is Done don't gotta worry about that crap any gone and finally put to rest he can finally breathe and relax not having to deal with pain like that again The killing moon was a good ending but at the same time you lose out on so much this overall pitwitter go is so much better Truly become someone so mean truly loved After everything she did she was a true friend And read even thinks you a lot too

I get thematically why, but why couldn't you call Alt and storm Arasaka Tower then and there to help her? I guess because V has the relic, but I would think Alt would've been able to isolate the rogue AI, but that's my fault having hope for the wrong people in the wrong city.

you never knew where mikoshi was located only that arasaka stores it there attacking the tower wouldve been pointless. Once you get the knowledge of where mikoshi is from hanako though your window to get into arasaka tower was cut even shorter due to the relic killing you hencewise the endings to reach arasaka. Sure you couldve stormed arasaka tower but if you dont know where mikoshi is in that tower it would be like looking for the proverbial needle in the haystack. plus Alt has less power then you until you upload a shard of her engram into arasaka's subnet to overwhelm them and if you remember correctly they already have walls of black ICE protocols in place around the damned place it really is a fortress the only way in is subterfuge or somebody with enough resources aka rogue to get in big time. the Nomads are ingenious with infiltrating arasaka. Improvisation and adapting to whatever came there way and man that basilisk tank was pretty dope blowing shit up to reach mikoshi underground is ballsy as fuck.

When I see Reed died on his knees like that really remind me of Roy Batty in Bladerunner... The only difference is Reed died by remained being slave to his masters, while Batty broke the cycle of Replicant and died being Free

I'm not sure this is a good ending. this is tied to Mr. Blue Eyes who also has connections to the rogue ais. This is pretty much handing her over to the rogue ais. I think the only "good" ending is honoring So Mi's request and killing her to stop the rogue ai from taking over her body.

Mr Blue Eyes may be rogue AI, but doesn't necessarily malevolent. The Blackwall is red color, and Mr. Blue eyes' eyes are blue.

I chose Song Mi's ending for main save because I want a powerful ally to my V in The Sun ending. But yes I do agree that killing her in Reed's route is the other right choice.

The NUSA was already making her poke the Blackwall, would still keep using her for that obvious reason. The other best ending would be for her to die. But this is a good ending, because she now has a second chance.

You are literally helping her cut her AI strings in this ending what are you talking about? Yes Mr. Blue Eyes (Who is some sort of AI controlled person although we have no clue if that AI has anything to do with rogue AIs of blackwall) helps her to the clinic because he probably wants her expertise as a netrunner for an upcoming war of NightCorp with Orbital Air. There is no rogue AI involved in this ending because she doesn't need to reach deep into blackwall protocols as oppose to the reed branch endings where she is struggling to keep control of her own mind because she went too deep to escape from the stadium.

The fate worse than death is giving her to Reed, she will most likely become a weapon for the NUSA and you lose a potential ally on the moon whom you saved, on top of that if you give her to Reed you get basically nothing in return, in one ending you get 5k or a medal depending on choices both worthless to V

Its considered good because she's in a similar situation with you, leaving her with NUSA she will die or be forced to love in extreme pain for the NUSA to attempt to weaponise AI beyond the Blackwall making them worse than Arasaka. Plus if you take the actual ending to the game the dlc gives u they remove and take everything from you making u no longer a potential threat to the NUSA so either way you still lose out and can't save songs life

This is the worst ending. You basically help Blue Eyes (Confirmed rogue Ai controlled husk) to send her to the moon with an active gateway on the blackwall inside of her. The best one is where she dies, so she won1t suffer anymore. In every other ending she'll just suffer more.

@@Tsumefan2 I don't thinkso. But she herself confirmed that her mind is encroached by the blackwall, but ti's probably not the blackwall itself, but the rogue AIs from the other side. Mr Blue Eyes is a rogue AI as well. Having a blackwall gateway walking on two legs is something he would surely want as a rogue AI. Mr Blue Eyes is clearly helping and keeping an eye on V and Songbird as they are getting to the terminal. Like there's a 'Suspiscious Homeless Person', with blue eyes V can run into. It might be that So Mi is already been taken over, and completely became Songbird. So by helping Mr Blue Eyes to send her where he want it, V might subject her to be just anotehr husk conrtolled by a rogue AI.
