You know, in Sweden it's tradition to hang oranges exactly like you did with the pommegranades but we also put dried cloves in the oranges and we usually hang them in red ribbons. It makes your house smell amazing. 😊

I am literally obsessed that you're obsessed with the 1960s because I also am OBSESSED with the 60s. I have always been since I was a kid! Now that I'm an adult my entire wardrobe is straight from the 1960s and my bedroom is decorated like a 1960s bedroom. My grandma has given me so much of her stuff from that time including furniture, clothes, decor, kitchen gadgets, etc. It has been my lifelong dream to buy a 1960s house, restore it to its original state, and decorate the entire home like you took a time machine to the 60s. Also, I am so glad you bought those ornaments they are GORGEOUS!

Love 60s! Lately I'm craving the 30s and 40s , I always have felt I lived back in the big band era. I even remember straightening the seams on the back of my stockings. I was born in 1959 though and grew up in 60s&70s. 👍

Growing up, we always went to a PNW tree farm to cut our tree. Daddy packed his tree-getting kit: saws and ropes and such. My mother made a huge thermos of hot chocolate which we’d all drink at the tree farm to warm up and celebrate. When we got home my Dad would make a fresh cut and then SUSPEND THE TREE OFF THE DECK WITH IT’S TRUNK IN A GIANT BARREL OF WATER for a day or two until we’d put it up. His trees always were still fresh until January 7 when we took it down. Now my own boys do the same gig. It’s so precious.

Hi Daniel. In the 60s we went out to the forest and cut our own tree. The conservation was not strict. We did have some plaid, but tons of our ornaments were glass and pointed. We always enjoyed making paper ring chains and popcorn strands for garland. The tree stands were junk back then too. The were metal and rusted. Merry Christmas!

Looks like a Noble fir, they come in thin or thick brush. I live in Clackamas Oregon and have spent many Xmas going to the tree farms and cutting down my own tree 🌳. Estacada tree farms used to be soo much, but fires and heat waves have taken there till on the farms. 😢

I've had my Thymes Fraser fir diffuser for 15 years love it. I believe it's a Canadian company. I bought mine when they were just a little company before Chapters/ Indigo started carrying their line. Still love.
