@@willbebetter5368 There's 2 ways. First you can show it from the Windows menu. Then drag and dock it somewhere. 2nd, you can reset your whole workspace. Windows > Workspace > Reset to Default Rooms. Whichever method you chose, after you've set your rooms up, I recommend locking them with: Windows > Workspace > Lock Room Panes Then you can't accidentally undock any windows.

@@DarrenTAnims - I'm in the investigation phase, and went through your video list and I see that Tahoma2D is also very popular and based on the same engine. Another youtuber suggests that Tahoma2D is easier for a beginner such as myself. Would you agree? And is Tahoma2D as powerful as OpenToonz? I have these great ideas, a series of stories, that I would love to see animated. I'm probably a good bit older than yourself and so I'm looking at things from a time vs productivity angle. I've watched a few others of yours and similar youtubers, and again, I thank you for your clarity and honesty. Cheers!
@DarrenTAnims Жыл бұрын
@@Novalarke Tahoma2D is 95% the same as OpenToonz, but with the interface simplified, to make it more palatable to beginners, and with a few extra little features. I think it's slightly easier to learn, but it is almost identical. The good news is, you can use them alternately. So install OpenToonz and download Tahoma (it's a portable, so you don't install it, you just unzip and move the folder somewhere). Plus, so far, you can start work in one program and load it into the other if you change your mind. But before going ahead with your series, you should definitely work out the kinks with lots of experiments and smaller animations. There's lots to learn for yourself, to figure out the workflow that suits you.

how can i scale down the clickable stuff to see more of my tools at the same time without without having to look for them or move them around so much on the screen?
@DarrenTAnims2 жыл бұрын
You can't easily scale the layout of the screen. But you can change your scale on your computer. I know lots of Windows users have their desktop scaling set to 150%. By dropping this to 100%, you'll see more in OpenToonz. Also, do have a go at building your own rooms with ONLY the panels that you want. I regularly create a "Large Drawing" room, with just the viewer, toolbar and toolbar options on it, so once I've chosen my frame and palette entry, I can just draw and switch tools easily. Finally, don't forget you can make any panel full screen temporarily using the toggle button ` (single backward quote - to the left of the number 1 key on US/UK keyboards)

You can import some vector drawings from other program, but you're likely to not get 100% of the drawings. Ideally you'd redraw them in OpenToonz, but it's worth trying them. If they don't import, you can always try exporting them to png images first, then importing those.

You have to just switch between them by loading each one in turn. There is a new feature called the PreProduction Board that can help: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6PRm4RvnZ6sbc0 A level is the set of drawings and the column is like a layer. That's where you expose drawings from the level. And drawings from your levels can be exposed in multiple columns.

But if you mean that you can't see the same rooms as me, then try either resetting your rooms, from the Windows menu (and restarting OpenToonz) or reinstall lbs, remembering to rename your OpenToonz Stuff folder before installing. The stuff folder is where the settings are stored.

This happens to some users. The main tips I can share are: - Save regularly. - Update all of your drivers. In particular, your graphics card and drawing tablet. - Add OpenToonz to your High Performance settings (details on my Discord) - Close as many other programs as you can. - Try working for a while without your virus checker running and see if that makes a difference. - Consider adding more memory to your computer if you can. - I've heard that Alt-Tabbing to other programs can cause OpenToonz to crash from time to time.

Sir can you please also make Krita tutorials too? it is also free and open source! 🥰❤ It is one of the best choices for frame by frame animation...
@DarrenTAnims Жыл бұрын
I haven't animated in Krita, although I do use it for single images, so I wouldn't really be the best person to do so. however, I can recommend Munkaa for Krita animation tutorials. Just search for Munkaa on KZbin. You'll find her.

how to animate in vertical workspace in opentoonz
@DarrenTAnims Жыл бұрын
I think you're asking how to set up a vertical video. If so: When you create a scene, always use the Startup Popup. Then you can set the height and width. I always change this to work in pixels. It's much simpler. BEFORE you start drawing, open your preferences (File > Preferences), Drawing section, tick the option: "New levels default to the current camera size". And then when you create a new level, it will have the same resolution as the camera settings you set when you created your scene.

@@DarrenTAnims I animated something in opentoonz. There are almost 4 vector layers. I drew a character and I fill the color in character using fill tool. And when I rendered this file to mp4 there are only color showing in mp4 video which color I filled in charecter. There are no border in the charecter. What is the problem plz help me..
@DarrenTAnims Жыл бұрын
@@मसधैंनेपाली it's really hard to tell without seeing the scene, but maybe you drew the lines with 0 width. They still sore on screen, so you know where they are, but they don't render. Try selecting each line and see if the width is bigger than 0 (on the options toolbar)
@मसधैंनेपाली Жыл бұрын
@@DarrenTAnimsthank you sir I already found this mistake. I drew lines with 0 width. I respect you because other KZbinrs don't reply like this.. 🥹😊

how to make actual visually anime with these 😢😢😢 could you tell me

I'm not sure exactly what effect you're after, but yes, you can apply effects to create the washed out, blown out look that some anime has.

@@DarrenTAnims First of all, thank you for answering me. In fact, it's time I saw a lot of videos that show how to export our animations to Mp4. But these videos are no longer current, because the indications and the famous site that it gives has changed in one way or another because the indications that it gives are no longer on the site and that I do not understand why.
@DarrenTAnims2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I mentioned that in the video. There's a link in the description to my video showing how to set up ffmpeg, so that you can render to mp4 & gif.
@momsy99802 жыл бұрын
@@DarrenTAnims Yes, but unfortunately, as I said there has been an update. What is in the site, is not at all the same as in your video. For example, you show us that we have to download a file that is called nothing like that is marked in the "BtbN" list. Maybe I misheard or missed a part in the video but all in all I'm stuck with it .__.
@DarrenTAnims2 жыл бұрын
The ffmpeg site does change from time to time, which is why I tried to show what type of file to look for and that you have to just try them out until you find the right one that works.

this is rubbish. maybe the function of animating maybe, but for someone who is trying to use this and be able to color and stop Opentoonz is not level entry. I don't know why this is praised so professionally with how choppy it to learn. I learned a bit of animation in high school with their photoshop, but this doesn't seem be understandable on how to prepare a plan. don't know if that was a thing in photoshop since I don't had my mind then to think of it, but the option needs to discussed for a beginner of this. it's not clear the difference between raster levels. You not teaching a baby kid this there are teens and adults trying start something that they have and want to do. Flesh out.
