the combined effects of the various fistweave talents looks like it could be crazy strong...should be fun...might main monk in dragonflight, depending on how brewmaster looks. I do prefer a class that can do all 3 roles anyway, I love paladin and druid for the same reason, and this looks like a really fun healing build

I'm super excited about Fistweaving potential and can't wait to to a video for the build. I really had to restrain myself on this one to stick to an open world build.

@@Tsetzuko for open world for mistweaver surely the main objective is just to grab as much dps as you can...i feel like the fistweaving build may be quite close to that ideal already. You can safely ignore damage reduction talents as you'll self heal by punching the crap out of anything anyway, and monk has mobility for days baseline anyway

I think it'll come to to testing the sustain and seeing if you can sack those talents for more dps. But yeah, fistweaving is pretty ideal for that already.

pretty sure flying serpent kick was always windwalker specific...also, regarding the black ox statue, it functions a bit like a mini tank as soon as you place it, as it pulses threat onto itself in an aoe, casting provoke on it taunts the mobs it has aggroed onto you. its a brewmaster thing, kind of like an aoe taunt and very useful for picking up adds in boss fights

Thanks for the info! I'm so used to cruising around on Windwalker that I couldn't remember not having Flying Serpent Kick. I also don't normally take Black Ox statue so I knew I needed to try that one out first - the way you describe it makes it more appealing to take imo.

@@Tsetzuko for open world content it should work wonderfully...its health doesnt last a huge amount of time against dungeon elites (but still long enough to be useful) against open world enemies it should be plenty tough enough to get the job done...just place and either spintowin on the enemies it grabs or take em out one at a time. having access to it on windwalker and mistweaver could be huge in open world. be interested to know if its possible to heal it

That was my thought exactly. Getting a pseudo tank pet is a game changer for how big you can potentially go on pulls or just how confident you can feel on smaller pulls if you don't want to do bigger ones. I'll have to test out if you can heal it.. could be a viable strategy with instant cast vilify or a strong hot as long as the healing doesn't pull threat immediately.
