This was on Jools Holland way back in 1995. How come ( thanks to Dermot O`leary playing `Blackbirds` on his BBC RADIO 2 show, yesterday 12-July 2014 ) it`s taken nearly 20 years for us to hear such a beautiful voice. I can remember hearing this the first time way back in the early 70's and Dorothy Moores version was just plain lovely. i have been watching jools hollands show for years and tried to find this so many times i thought it was unavailable. I watched it on the actual night and thought it was brilliant then but even more so now. Ocassionally this shows throws up some fantastic performances which in my opinion are just as good if not better than the original, see mick hucknal sing positively 4th street,amazing.
