Beautiful tone. When I was a teen, 1969, the first Epiphone archtop jazz guitars from Japan reached my local music store, and I bought one-big body, two pickups-for $120, including the case. I was fifteen, and I borrowed $110 from my credit Union and paid it off at $10 a month. I knew nothing about jazz, alas. It was heavy and not very loud without an amp. A couple years later I traded it straight across for a flattop. I haven’t seen one from that era since.
