I mean the mane 6 parents have always been ambiguous even in gen 4. We didn't get to see all 6 sets of parents of gen 4s mane six intill like the last 3 seasons. It's not uncreativeness it's just the way the writers like to write the parents.

That would be so boring. The best choice would be Argyle being the dad, but these writers aren't creative enough to do something like that. Zipp and Pipp are already siblings, throwing another sibling into their family doesn't feel right from a storytelling point. Having Sunny and Misty being a mixed family is way more interesting and plays more into the anti-racism plotline the story has already dropped, and would also explain why Sunny's mom is never brought up.

I was really surprised that the Breezies no longer talk with mock Danish accents! Mind you, this is set years after G4, so presumably their language has evolved in much the same way English has evolved over the past millennium. Of course an upward curve with the Misty’s dad reveal, it has a massive downward curve in that, in the G4 Breezie episode, Fluttershy explained that they need to get pollen from Equestria to activate their magic for their world. Meaning, despite them NEEDING that magic infused pollen, G5 is suggesting they and their world somehow survive hundreds of Moons without the key thing they need to survive. 🤦‍♀️ G5, you screwed up again

And this is why I don't have high expectations for Chapter 5 because of things like this is what makes MyM a bad show for G5, although Misty's dad reveal was actually pretty nice. But they always retcon G4's lore without acknowledging it in the first place, especially with the two princesses. It would have been better if G5 and G4 were never connected in the first place and just be it's own thing. That's the downfall of G5, honestly. It dives into G4 a lot hoping to achieve the same thing as G4 did, but as we all know it's failing miserably. G5, get your act together and start acknowledging G4's lore rather than rewriting it or don't connect it to G4 at all.

Well, I for one do not want Alphabittle to be Misty's father. 1.) Making him a father would make the "Alphahaven" ship more complicated than it already is. 2.) It makes him look dumb. He instantly recognized Haven and her daughters but not his "own child". 3.) The last thing this show needs is another single parent (Argyle, Haven, Phyllis, Figgy?) Plus, I would've love the irony if Misty, the "adopted" pony, turns out to be the only character with two living parents
