The medium really doesn't look like your regular gum arabic watercolor. I've noticed asian paintings with a similar consistency. Since a kind of glue tempera is very common in Asia, I am assuming watercolors are also of a different binder, perhaps some sort of glue or size, perhaps something else added into the mix.

@@jrhooman Gouache is a very specific type of "tempera", if you want to put it in the same category. In this case, what I mentioned is *not* gouache, as the binder isn't gum arabic like watercolors, but a type of animal glue.

Every time I watch one of these I wasn’t to both paint immediately, and quit painting at the same time. Lol. Absolutely fantastic job as always. Not a single wasted paint stroke! Thanks for sharing with us! We really appreciate it! (I know I’m not the only one) unreal how much you get done. I know the mixing and cleaning of the brushes is edited out so it’s not over an hr long and you can’t film every single stroke (if your body is possibly in the way for some super fine details) but man it’s just unreal how efficient you are! That would take me a week. And it’s only be half as good. Lol. Honestly though your backgrounds and hat a wonderful as your paintings. They always flow together. I’ve noticed you tend to use some hair colors in them which is awesome. This looks like she was born out of light or fire. Beautiful. Always amazing, my friend, unreal. Take care everyone. James Gilbreath - not like another brush. I assure you. It makes it easier than tracing. Yes, like a projector, but better. Do a search for camera lucida iPad app. Knowing WHERE to stroke your brush is especially important with watercolour, much more so than oil. With that app you totally abolish errors. He won’t tell you that like so many other cheating artists. In flicker mode you can really see your effort compared to the original. It’s a beast. Look it up and your eyes will open.

Bravissimo !! One question : I noticed that the paper never wrinkles and the washes stay wet for a very long time : do you keep the back of the paper wet ?
@misulbu5 жыл бұрын
Apply a lot of water to the paper and fix it on the panel. That way, you can paint flat. Thank you very much for watching my painting. Have a nice day.

How did you fix paper towel panel?

HIs choices on changing the background continue to fascinate me. I am an artist (very early on my journey), and still am often tied to painting what I see. He paints what he wants to see.

While painting this did you have to keep The anatomy of the face in mind as well?
@misulbu4 жыл бұрын
I don't know the anatomy at all. I'm just drawing what I see and feel.

@@misulbu Can you really paint at this level without having a proper understanding of what you see ? Even if you didn't study anatomy with that much practice you must have come to understand how a face works, don't you ?

그림을 그리고 싶도록 용기를 불어 넣어주는 영상! 배경처리도 아주 좋아요. 많이 배우고 있습니다.

Wow. I've never heard you wonder about me. My heart is pounding. to put it simply I majored in art, but it is difficult to live by painting, so I am looking for a job by doing various part-time jobs. Now painting is just a hobby. Also, my favorite thing is not painting. I like labor the most. anyway Thank you very much for watching my painting. Have a nice day.

연필로 잘 그리는 분은 꽤 많지만 붓으로는 특히 수채화로는 참 드문데...대단하십니다. 흰색을 안쓰시고 밝은 포인트를 남기시는 방법이죠? 그게 참 놀랍습니다.
