You as a Lakota know what dwells in the heart. They have poisoned the people's minds in all of this world that is out of adjustment. The way that the true Lakota heart is felt and the silent nations are honored is the hope of the world. The lessons you have kept and renewed is the lesson that will save our world. Blessings upon you all brothers and sisters! From the compassionate space of the heart we shall flourish once again.

Since the Supreme Court Ruled that the Black Hills was Illegally taken from the People, Why does the Government still hold onto that Land that Officially belongs to the Lakota People ? The Government should be Sued for Illegally stealing that Land and Sued again for Not releasing the Land back to the Original Owners. Love will find a way ♥

The souix were also promised some land. And still haven't received it. Still in talks. So they refuse to take the money. Instead want to pay for the land promised

My family is from the Caribbean islands but all my life I've been obsessed with learning about the native or indigenous culture of this land. It all started in the 3rd grade when I learned about the Kachina dolls and the Hopi nation. Then I found out that NY had a lot of nations here as well. When I got to college, I learned a whole ton about the Navajo approach to medicine especially childbirth. I blew my mind when I learned that a Navajo medicine man was the reason why the US was able to contain the Hanta Virus. I began to slowly realize that a major reason our country is not as disastrous as others is because off all the blessing the indigenous people left in this sacred land. Thank you all for being true to your culture so people like my self can learn more and maintain a connection. Spirituality is a real thing and often not even a thought in someone's mind in this material world...Mitakuye Oyasin

I have no elders left so ta Those of you who do not know your history and your heritage. No knowledge of your families. Is sicking that we have to pay for what is ours. I've lost so much that belongs to us all. I just want ta go home. Cherokee, Creek, Seminole, and such the Lakota. All of us. Our culture is lost. I Thank you such as i thanked my father. There is no peace like home.

Our spiritual ways were so outlawed that we had to hide our ceremonies from the priests and the government agencies. The grandmothers would have inipi under the kitchen table, we would raise our sacred Sundance trees in very remote places out of site and when the ceremony was finished we would lay the sacred tree in a hiding place far away so we could continue the next new year. It was still illegal to have a our ceremonies until 1992. FREE PELTIER

Hau mitakuyape, the washichu / whiteman ( American people) cannot be trusted . That is what the past 2 centuries have shown us. They broke every promise they made 2 us except one. They promised 2 take our land and everything we have and everything we are , and they kept that promise ! The washichu turned on us , and now they are turning on their own people ! The washichu in the big Whitehouse is destroying everything even for their own kind. The American people can't even raise themselves up , let alone raise our oyate/ people up. You use the terms raising up. If anyone will raise my people up its Wakan Tanka , Great Spirit, Creator of Life, Almighty God ,Yahweh who will do the raising , and that will be in our generation! You can bank on that!

It is recorded that the earliest people migrated up from Africa to the Middle East, to China and to the Siberian peninsula before crossing into North America. And then some sailed down the coast. Europeans sailed from Europe to the Eastern America. So everyone who came to North America were immigrants - including Indians. No one is indigenous except those born in this country (including caucasians).

Aho! The video just showed up while scrolling, and i watched it with great interest. When looking at my profile you may notice, that it´s part Lakota. In English it´s Jessie She Wolf. It was given to me by friends of my daughter, because of the closeness i have to wolves, always had. And as i´m trying to learn about The Lakota people (and others) for decades already, it got translated. To me, it´s what i truely am. Back in school, classmates tried to hurt and insult me by calling me an Indian (American Native), because of my appearance; clothes, long hair, music i favored. They were dumpstruck, when i told them, i´d be honored and proud of being of that decend. My skin color´s just too light. Anyway, many thanks for sharing this.🐺

Great. Here you are: Mi ta ku ye O ya s i n = We the one (female) who is O I are also they/them Mi taku ye O ya s i n = We that's how is O I are also they/them Mi ta ku ye O ya sin = We the one (female) who is O I sin Mi taku ye O ya sin = We that's how is O I sin . . . (there is more, but that should be enough) This is the oldest INDIGENOUS EUROPEAN LANGUAGE (Lakota forgot where they came from, 😆), still used by some Indigenous Europeans (real whites, victims of the genocide worst than the one in America). The story is talking about the material world (mater = mother), which is according to Indigenous Europeans the whole workshop of the Devil (O I sin...) and so they partecipate less possible at the material world. These people stay at their land - same place since the human species exists, never migrate and never attack or invade other people's territory; while talking about some whites genociding American Natives check better what are you talking about and where the genocidal nation really comes from. American Natives got name Red because of the red/blush on the face caused by some genes of white people. Great people the same, just forgot a bit where they came from. 😉

A culture starts with a language , which helps then with creating rites, ceremonies , everyday life by naming the important surroundings. I just found out that Lakota has 52 names for clouds ( which non-indegenous people throughout the world have as many ?) . Yes , I cheated, I just saw a Russell Means video ... But the important thing is , for the children, to get the upbringing children had as your elders remember (beyond 1700 will be more difficult, but from the moment you started taming horses would be wonderful) . Try reading (I guess you have) Ohiyesa and share as much (many) stories you know . I think I know what I'm talking about : I'm Dutch, my father was born in Indonesia (Colon, sorry), I lived one year in the States at age 4 and at 13 moved to France ... I speak Dutch, English, French fluently and German fairly well . Mix of cultures so to say . Take care , I'm a friend to Saint Joseph school and Akta Lakota museum in Chamberlain SD since a month and will continue to support .

After 8 minute: the same the church and other institutions, school..., are doing with Indigenous Europeans and their language for centuries. At my school also teachers were discriminating, insulting... children with Indigenous accent trying that way to exterminate our language. ... We were attacked with pretty bloody war also less than 30 years ago, bringing us western demo(n)cracy same as Syria, Iraq, Libia... In the middle of Europe.
