Sky Paragliders Zorro Review

My thoughts on the 22m sky zorro. Great intermediate wing with a very a very solid and stable design. Great for all around ppg flying that can do a little bit of everything. This wing absorbs bumps and makes turbulence feel much smaller than it would feel on a hotter wing. Other wings that are very similar that I have flown are Paramania GTX, ITV Billy. Nucleonxx, Ozone Speedster and Macpara Colorado would also be in the same class.

Okay just finished. Spot on review! I've got an 18m Z-Blade (which is the same wing just with different risers) and those are my thoughts exactly. Launches great, super stable and fun to fly, not efficient. Nice one 🤙

I did fly it. Its similar to a dudek hadron but a little easier to launch and ground handle and slightly less efficient than a hadronxx

Great review Mich! How would you compare it to the Hadron 3 in terms of stability?? I reckon the H3 would be more efficient...but would it more "collapse resistant"??

The zorro is more stable. Both are very collapse resistant but I think the zorro could handle more without collapse. Hadron is more efficient for sure and requires more skill to fly. Hadron is not a 2nd wing for someone. Zorro could be a nice 2nd wing.

Tom, Motor out at 30’ and landed at the track. On take off, I apparently did exactly what you did when you got the BooBoo on your knee. If I had seen your video I probably would have trimmed all the way in. For sure would have had a better reading on the wind and gone the other way.

When you say the brake pressure is higher than you're used to, is that compared to your Warp or your Universal or both?

Both. This uni and warp have lighter brake pressure especially with the trims in. This zorro has high brake pressure trims in and out

I'd recommend an actual en A or B rated wing for freeflight. Any en a or b wing will work that you fit the weight range on.

I flew on Nucleon XX 28 for about 100 hours. A great wing. Very manoeuvrable and very safe. Now I have changed to Snake 1.2 24m.

Ugh. Ppg and pg? If both then I'd have a dudek universal 23m. I could do everything on that one wing. If I can have a pg and ppg wing then I would have a freeflight wing and a 16m driftair based on the current wings available today

The Dominator would fly circles around this wing and is way safer to boot

Wrong. A 22m dominator would be slower than this wing and will collapse if flown on speedbar in turbulance while this wing would keep on flying.

@@MitchG I fly Flux 24.7. I love it. I am considering Zorro. Only other contender would be Ozone XC.

@@SkydivingAndPPG The zorro and xc are completely different wings. Zorro is less efficient but you can fly it hand off in any conditions. XC will dance around more in turbulence but will have better handling and be more efficient. The zorro is more like your flux but with strong reflex. The XC will be a step up in performance

@@MitchG the thing is I fly in vicinity of 2 mountains with peaks above 1300 meters and sea on the other side. So if you say Zorro would be much stronger in the turbulence, that is very important to me. To hell with the fuel efficiency...

The zorrow and billy are so close that it doesnt really matter. I think the zorro has a little more refined handling. The billy had a strange yaw motion when you pulled the tip line which made it easier to spin imo.

Mitch have you ever flown on a dominator Wing? If so,what size and what do you think about those wings. Thanks for your opinion.

I havent flown one. I asked the super training guys to send me one and they refused. From what I can tell from specs, pics, videos, the dominator is just a typical en A wing. Nothing really special about it and not the best choice for PPG flying. I wouldnt recommend the dominator just because I dont want to support someone who lies just to sell equipment. If you want the same wing but want to support a much better company then buy the sky cima pwr.
