Today I'm taking a look at a show I dont think many people either remember or take the time to cherish, regardless here's my quick review of the Legion of Superheroes.

Episodes from where we left off from season 1 to the first elements of the beginning of the movie of spider-man 2. Kingpin as the main villain in season 2 btw kingpin should be played by Kevin Michael Richardson and do the voice to sound exactly like Clarke Michael Duncan who also played kingpin from the movie of daredevil that also came in 2003 Featuring villains like rhino, shocker, the vulture, scorpion, mysterio (should be played by Bruce campbell btw), black cat, morbius the living vampire, and The hobgoblin The return of previous villains like the lizard, silver sable, kraven the hunter, Christina the crazy psycho stocker, pterodax (sergi) (Btw this villain is inspired by the vulture), turbo jet, and talon. Seeing other characters from the comics like Gwen Stacy, gwen's dad captain stacy, aunt may, flash thompson, j. Jonah jameson, Indy daimonji, t.v news reporter Alison Tomita, Officer Barr, uncle ben (flashbacks) and indy's mother. Other heroes from marvel like daredevil, the punisher, iron fist, and blade. Bonus character man-spider/Peter Parker A great finale of a fight scene if both daredevil vs. The kingpin and spider-man vs. Sinister six in one episode. And finally my version of the sinister six... Rhino Kraven the hunter Shocker Vulture Hobgoblin And scorpion Hired by the kingpin So that is what I wanna see in season 2 of mtv spiderman the new animated series so please tell me what u think of my ideas.

Season 3 would be nice but I will say that wouldn't be a good idea because how things are these days might ruin the show and cause it to be not what it used to be, once all this craziness is gone and everything goes back to normal then I would recommend and they would make a season 3.

I distinctly remember the episode where Triplicate Girl lost her other half, that scene shown in the video shot that memory through my brain, lol. Bouncing Boy, Braniac 5 and Superman X were some of my favorite characters. I miss shows like this, alongside Kids WB as a whole, plus Jetix and the older Cartoon Network shows. Good times.

The characters were all teenagers when the comics started. Storm and Wolverine were the first full grown adults to become X-Men besides the professor. The reason they added so many more in the 90's was because the original members were getting older and they wanted X-Men to stay a teen focused series.

This show is similar to other shows like Teen Titans and the DCAU because it was made by a lot of the same people. James Tucker was the producer, who worked on a bunch of DCAU shows and is the main producer of the DC animated movies. Most of the directors and writers worked on DCAU shows.

Fun fact, the character of Brainiac 5 in the comics is actually complex in a simple way. At best he's given a monkey, a nickname and a forcefield (aside from his twelve level intelligence), and the character holds out remarkably well, while other characters are constantly upgraded and given new powers and drama. If anything, the rest of the Legion calls him "Brainy" to try and make him more social (which eventually works, mind you), but aside from that, he doesn't have excessive and constant drama, and when one of his plot point comes out it's often quite big, sometimes getting more than one issue to tell the story behind it. In this cartoon, everytime a plot falls on him, the whole tone of the series shifts. I actually felt like an alien in most of his stories, because the way they are told makes you feel like you both understand, and have no idea what's happening (Brain Drain is a good example, you basically see his mind decaying in a quite scary way). I wish there were more characters like him, that don't need excessive amounts of story and drama, have one effective gag, and hold out this well.

I was very late to seeing this show, and I still regret not watching it as it was released. It's a series that can make you feel like you're hearing these stories for the first time even though you've heard them a million times just by having engaging characters with personalities, flaws, and real growth. I'm not even a superman fan, I think the character tends to be really boring, but I actually really like him here. Both the og and Superman X. It's fun to watch a young Superman figuring out his powers, learning about his weaknesses, and growing as a person. It feels more natural when he returns in season 2 more experienced and offers his counterpart advice inspired by Batman. Even characters that only get one episode to shine manage to be fun and interesting. It's just a good show that deserved a lot more love than it got.

This was a great show that underrated for me. It showcased a different and unprecedented side of Superman (his humor, anger, awkwardness without using the Clark Kent guise, etc) while showcasing the wide, creative side of the 31st Century and the Legionaires

It’s so wild for me to learn how, rare/unknown this show is to some people. There used to be a whole massive sect of “LoSH” roleplayers within the greater DC Tumblr Roleplaying community. It seems to have vanished or at least shrunk substantially in the time since *checks watch* 2013. Still, interesting to see an “outsider”’s take on the show.

Ikr!!! Even here on KZbin there used to be a somewhat large LoSH community back in the day. But most of those videos have since been deleted and the channels that used to make those fan-made videos have moved on or stopped uploading altogether. It's honestly really depressing seeing a once thriving fan-base community just vanish all of a sudden.

Braniac vs Imperiax sounds like a battle I would love to see on silver screen. Seeing villians faceoff is sometimes more interesting. Like Darksiede vs Doomsday would make a great ass animated movie if done correctly. Something different is good for a change and this show was beyond it's time and was Underrated.

If you're missing Saturday Morning Cartoon-style action animated series, I can recommend Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters and Big Hero 6: The Series. Both evoke that simple tone and storytelling while still being just complex enough to be engaging.

Another show from my childhood. Could honestly be nostalgia but I feel like there were a ton of shows that brought something to their audience, tried to teach them something, make them better people and be more than just 22 minutes of mindless boredom (Filmore, Di-Gata Defenders, Storm Hawks, Skyland, The Future is Wild, etc.). (Even if there were also a few major duds that stayed on the air way to long (*cough* 'Angela Anaconda', Johnny Test, George of the Jungle.) Imo anyways)

There are some comics which were related to tv show (Legion of Super-heroes in the 31st Century), not only that but there are a lot of comics which are the origin of the team (the first appearance of the Legion was in 1958).

I think the main thing that overshadowed this show was the Superman Doomsday movie that came out around the same time as everyone was hyped by the “first PG-13 Superman movie” as it was being heavily advertised.

This show was one of the biggest cornerstones of my childhood, and I always look back on it fondly. I was crushed, to say the least, when the planned third season was cancelled, and I've been steadily hoping for a revival ever since. And 15 years later, with them getting their own movie, I got to see the revival they deserved! But no matter what, this version will always be the definitive Legion to me. (No hate on the rest, it's just preference lol)

Me and my little brother loved this show. Superman is my favourite hero so when I first saw the trailer for the show I was already in to it. And my little bro loved it because there was soo many heroes we both had never heard of. This show was my introduction to the legion

I strongly agree that they made Brainiac 5 a much more useful character in this series. In the comics, he tends to be the brains behind the fight but making him a fully robotic character who useful in the fight itself.

Very underrated show. I remember it showing when I was in college and would only catch an episode once in a while (at this time I was obviously older and would flip channels during the hangover weekends). Then about a decade after that, I would binge watch shows while working on rigs to pass through the day. Now, I was reminded of this show and I'm glad to see that someone else appreciates the show. I think Timber Wolf is my favorite character.

Grew up snagging the latest Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes issue each month the minute it hit the stands and scooping up every LSH Silver Age reprint or yard sale find I could. Superboy (young Kal-El) was my favorite and seeing a bunch of teens working together without being just sidekicks even beat out the Teen Titans (not yet "New"; once that happened Perez and Wolfman had me). I can't believe how long it took them to have the LSH get their own cartoon. Filmation and Hanna-Barbera didn't even have a single episode cameo by them. But glad when it finally happened it was done so respectful to the group and viewers intellect. Simplistic, but not mindless. Edgy but not brutally grim. Great video. Thanks.

I’m looking at getting it - I’ve never seen it but like this stuff. I have all the DC animated movies. Batman animated series and Batman beyond / young justice seasons 1 - 3 all On Blu Ray. Complete superman animated ok DVD. Is this show worth my attention ?

Jason Schlierman - The Batman didn’t really work for me ( not after the animated series and Beyond ) that being said - being that this series doesn’t have a basis for comparison to another series of the same that came prior , I’m more likely to enjoy it. I have been toying with the idea of ordering the Blu-ray for about a week now - and been watching stuff on it - which brought me to here. 👍 Inevitably o do think I’ll end up with it in my collection.

I think only the original Brainiac and the Brainiacs after 5 are evil. Brainiacs 2, 3, and 4 all seem to be either good or neutral. But the original Brainiac is way overused in most superhero TV shows and movies. But you know what made me really sad about Brainiac 5 was that he wasn't supposed to be a robot. Like it made me realize that LoSH basically made a fanfiction of Brainiac 5 in the TV show itself.

I absolutely loved this show as a kid. I used to go to the dvd section in the library and would get the dvd for the first few episodes of this series all the time. I even named my dog after Brainiac 5. My dog was actually named Magenta, but it’s a funny story. I was really young so I remembered very few names of the characters, and for some reason when I thought of Braniac 5 I thought their name was Magenta, probably cuz of their suit, so I suggested that name to my parents and it stuck.

First time I’ve seen a video from you and I’ve got to say that was a really well thought analysis and I agree with your points, especially with the fact that this show is incredibly overlooked even when comparing it with other cancelled super hero shows (Spectacular Spidey or Avengers: EMH). Personally this show holds a dear place in my heart because it started my love for the Legion and after reading years of comics from them I can say the show does an amazing job at respecting the history of the team while also changing things up in a good manner. Overall it was a really fun and enjoyable adaptation, I also want to thank you for making this video since the team is really unknown outside of comics and even in comics the team has been kind of ignored by DC in recent years, so we fans enjoy every kind of attention the team can get.

What a fantastic show this is. Yes, leaning a little more toward a younger demo, I love how it does approach some slightly more mature themes. And as an adult fan of comics I thought it was a lot of fun!

Finally finished the show in its entirety. Really is just a fun, light superhero show. Season 2, however, did have some shockingly dark moments, with characters dying I genuinely didn't expect. That being said, tho I'd love a Season 3, I think it did a lot in those 2 seasons. Overall, yet another GREAT DC animated show. Side Note: Loved all the DCAU references. Seems almost every DC animated show preserves the spirits of that original continuity.

Seeing Superman X talking to Triplet Girl reminds me of that scene from My Adventures with Superman. Legion of Superheroes: Weakness? Try compassion. You're more than a mission Kal-El. You're a person. Quite frankly it's nice to see you finally starting to act like one. My adventures with Superman: No. I won't except that. You're not a weapon, you're a person. That moment just makes me feel you know?

This was a good show and KIDS WB stopped it just when it got good I hated when they took away the good stuff and left us with the corny stuff

Bit late of a reply but you can thank the cw/4kids for the cancelation. Basically after the cw rebranding, they got a hold of 4kids for their Saturday morning blocks and since 4kids got all that anime they import, the higher ups just basically cut the show short since they to them didn't need it anymore since they got what 4kids has. Sucks I know, especially with the plans they had for season 3.

I had a love hate relationship with this show, while I think this series was very well written, it kicked Pokémon off of the Kids WB lineup..."I blame more 4Kids ending their partnership they should've finished Battle Frontier then have TCPI start with Diamond and Pearl"

I remember binge watching this show one day cause I was sick, got to the opening of season 2 and little 11 year old me found their first ship. Honestly the twist of brainy becoming the big bad completely overshadowed imperiax, to the point I genuinely forgot it existed. I'll be honest brainy was always my favourite so that might explain why😅

I liked the 2 seasons they brought out... but I wish they had introduced more of the expanded team. Dawn star, Wildfire etc... I mean, we only really saw a tiny bit of Ayla Ranzz as a character... she was a huge part of the Legion, as Lightning Lass and Light Lass. Wildfire's story was a perfect example of learning to become a hero instead of a screw up.

Ever since I rediscovered this series years ago I’ve been re-watching it many different times. i’m around 20 something years old and still is pretty enjoyable. I still like the characters, I like the sub plots, I like the details, etc. to me it still holds up and I highly recommend watching it. It honestly deserves its season three, it makes me really upset it didn’t one.
