Evil idea: You can't lose lives, but the game automatically fails you and kicks you back to the start if you ever hit 99 lives. So not only are you doing all of the kaizo stuff but you have to minimize how often you bounce off the same enemy to get through certain platforming sections to not get unnecessary lives. Evil idea number 2: The game is also set up to fail you and kick you back to start if you don't get star fanfare at every opportunity with the end of level cards. Evil idea number 3: The game is set up that if you get through every section without dying once and avoid every 1up and unneeded coin you possibly can yet get all the star fanfares, you end up with 98 lives and 99 coins.
