I've had so many flats in that exact spot, it's cursed. Although mine are usually pinch flats. I've also never seen a train out there, I'd assumed the line was abandoned.

I love TPU’s but I may be giving tubeless a try just because most of my flats are pinholes if all fails back to tpu

Sir, go tubeless, and bring some plugs and one TPU inner, the sealant will fix 99% of problems, and give you body less vibration.

please tell me why u and alot of riders wear all black gear? my nickname 4u guys r men in black its like u dont want 2b seen by cars , me personally I cant b bright enough so the asshole drivers can c me, have had one of our club riders hit by a car-he was in black- anyway your choose and with the punctures u should try slime inner tubes ,I`ve not had a puncture in a year!!!!

Arguably (because there may not be definitive, credible data on the topic) all black attire presents a distinctive silhouette to other road users compared to mixed pattern garments which can 'camouflage' a rider. Yeah, it seems counterintuitive. The last time I was clumped off my bike in daylight I was wearing a DFM (daylight fluorescent material) top which was so bright it might have made even Helen Keller blink.
