@@minsanoor7274 ,Kokni means people living in kokan region of Maharashtra which comprises the district of Thane,Raigad,Ratnagiri ,Sindhudurg which lies near Arabian sea.Even Mumbai n Navi Mumbai comes under Konkan region but many non kokni people from other parts of country live in these cities but these region actually belongs to original inhabitants called kokni people who are Hindus, Buddhist n many Muslims like myself are from this region.We are called kokni Muslims n majority of us belong to sunni shahfahee makhtab with minority belonging to Hanafi makhtab specifically called as kokni dakhni .Hope you will understand this well.Khuda hafiz.
