one question here: from 2019 fall class, the professor taught that the stack pointer points to the last element which was pushed to the stack, but this tutorial said it is pointing to the address which is not used !, so what is correct?

it will point to unused location www.cs.utsa.edu/~wagner/CS3723/compilerd/act_rec.html in MIPS architecture
