What a high-quality build!! One of my favorites that I've seen for the Delica.

It really was the best small build we have seen in a vehicle. Thankyou for watching.

Great car. In Russia, Vladivostok we have a lot of this vehicles, because Japan is nearby. Also we have a very wild and beautiful nature, so this car is the best desicion for camp tours.

The new model Mitsubishi Delica D:5 is not so good looking from the front and has lost a few degrees on the approach angle. Here in Japan, it has been somewhat ridiculed and was quickly compared to a 4 blade shaver! Here is the link to Delica D:5 page. Personally, I thought the previous model was much better and it was actually the support vehicle for the Pajero on the Paris-Dhakar Rally about 12 years ago. www.mitsubishi-motors.co.jp/lineup/delica_d5_standard/index.html?intcid2=top-recommendcar_01

Oh yes I can see what the mean about the razor! It has lost its cute looks and looks just like every other computer designed vehicle now. What a shame.

That`s exactly the same van as mine. We took the seats out of the back and made a bench. We slept on top of the bench, and stored our cooking / camping stuff underneath. Took the van to the north cape a.k.a. Knordkapp. 5700 miles in 3 weeks. I was going to have it properly converted but Sharon said that it was to old, Hence our VW T30 camper. One day ill put together our road trip videos and stick them on You tube lol. Thanks for a great video lads

Billy Sherratt seeing your old videos would be good Billy. This van is going to be at Hope in September so you will be able to have a chat with the owners and reminisce about your van. Have a good weekend. 😀

I have one the same L400 turbo diesel 4m40 donk is out of the small truck The Canter I think absolutely unbreakable it will sit on 120 Klms all day have had it wound out to 160 klicks on back roads Australia I screwed the Overdrive button down when I first got it 14 yrs ago just gives it the extra gear no harm to gearbox just had auto Trans serviced after 70000 ks still perfect .I have it fully stripped out in back the van doubles as a work Van and camper I have a six-meter wide Tarp that slides into a channel attached to side of van and just 2 single bed mattress that fit perfect in back standing on edge then pack all camp gear in around . weathers great here in Australia so all outdoor living just sleep in van . The wife loves to look at stars at night through the roof windows . Easily the best vehicle I have ever owned just spent a couple of grand on her updating.. Radiator / Wheels / Brakes / Paint . good to go another 100.000
@CampervanTales5 жыл бұрын
Sounds amazing being able to watch the stars. We have just been away for a weekend and we had threat of danger to live weather warnings due to the amount of rain. This little van was brilliant and yours sounds the same, virtually indestructible.

Hello guys, I have NEVER seen a MITSUBISHI VAN before, cars , & big trucks yes , great setup that couple have there, but if you can only cook outside, then , when cold I guess that’s it, till next year, Cheers from NJ,,,, USA🇬🇧🇺🇸

it's a 2 ton van + gear not sure what the MPG is but in Austalia it's between 10-16lt per 100km depending on wieght and driving habit with the diesel. more with the petrol V6. but its a mechanical fuel pump with Indirect injection, so cheaper to maintain and can run on vege oil.
@thekitowl6 жыл бұрын
I get 27 mpg max out of mine & that’s with a motor bike on the back. Oh & I use a Ozpig to cook on with mine.
@kentfarquharson5 жыл бұрын
Im getting roughly 10 to 11 litres per 100Km driving back and forth to work. Better in summer. Jasper, Short Wheel Base 2.8 turbo diesel, no roof rack. Off road in 4WD may (most likely) make a difference.
@BluTrollPro5 жыл бұрын
I had a Shogun, with the same 2.8L and I believe on the same chassis. I used to get approximately 30mpg, so late 20s seem reasonable for the van body. I imagine they are a great tow platform too being based on the Shogun.
