Have owned my Aspire model for 3 months and I'm loving this car every day

I just bought one having driven - then ordered (like 8 months ago!) a Rav4 Hybrid (That Toyota still hasn't started manufacturing!) I'm getting it in 3 months. Super impressed by the way this car drives and handles vs the RAV4 Hybrid and ability to charge off my solar was a game changer. Love the way you can just drive on EV only around shops and locally. Also the single fixed gear. That felt like driving an EV only. Every review says the consols, TS and controls "are outdated", but I actually liked them..they are uncluttered,easy to use and buttons all in the right place etc.. The smaller TS is actually a bonus as it's not over the top and a distraction from driving. Where is the PHEV Toyota?!!!!

I agree!! I bought one last week - I got the Exceed! Yippee! I have solar panels so it was indeed a game changer. I was going to get a Rav4 but there’s non available and there second hand ones are FAR OVERPRICED so it was GOODBYE Toyota. I got a brand new top of the range PHEV for less than a used or demo RAV 4 and the Mitsubishi has GREAT handsome looks! I find the cockpit really good and easy to use and drive. I love the joystick type great shift and the ability to run EV modes and change /save battery. Really clever stuff! So I charge my car battery from my solar battery, which gets the power from the panels. Can’t get any better than that!

If Toyota made a PHEV the demand would be off the charts HUGE! But they won’t do it.. funny that.

@@michaelsmith697 totally. 3 months on the only downside and gripe I have with tye car I can find is the slight lack of range on EV only. If the range was just a bit more. Say 100km. Heck I’d even take 75k as 50-60 km is my usually daily commute to and from work. I’d take a guess that would be pretty standard for most Aussies. A range of 40-45 which might be ok in Japan and what I get on a full charge is tantalizing too short. I’m looking forward to the next one with a 100km plus range battery. Just MO.

@@wapphigh5250 I'm pretty sure most PHEVs have that sort of battery range. However at least it has a decent sized fuel tank (60L), compared to the MG HS Plus PHEV which is only 37L!
@wapphigh52502 жыл бұрын
@@ecurb10 Nope the Fuel tank is 40L

Thanks for pointing that out. It was a slip of the tongue by me during filming.

Love that they gave you an Aspire to test. Tired of every review being top of the line.

The Rear spoiler allowed for a lower rear view ,unlike the new, and was a distinctive feature. The dropping of that feature has cost many sales ,many held on to their cars ,rather than trade up. We are one.

That my point... these reviewers don't know crap.. all they do is repeat what they hear... this model is way less visibility... the split on old was additional visibility

Is "SAVE" mode petrol/gas option? Do you need to click that every time you want to use gas or you don't really need to?

What is the capacity of the EV battery? What would be the cost to charge it at home from 0 to 100 capacity in Victoria Australia?

The line along the side is basically for design, good looks n air dynamics... but then again someone that dresses and look like you wouldn't know.. fashion, uniqueness do appeal to many.
