The 1.5 turbo engine is adequate for a crossover. Why would you need more power? Also this is one of the best cvt transmissions to date. The CR-V is much bigger and also has a 1.5 turbo engine. It delivers more power but the CR-V is also heavier. The Peugeot 3008 looks great. but how will it's reliability fair compared to Mitsubishi that is known for reliability. The interior of the eclipse cross is the best Mitsubishi has done in years. It's unlikely you will be touching your dashboard often so why complain about the hard plastic that will likely age better than the other materials?.

For one you’re behind the times, people use their phones for nav and 6ft4” test riders have sat in the backseat and thought it plenty of headroom as well as the boot space was plenty since the backseat is movable. Moreover it rates high and superior to EURO crash test to the Peugeot 3008. So your 5’4” bod and your Peugeot w/out the safety bells and whistles this car has can move along!

I thought the C-HR was borrowing some of Honda's design language, but it seems the Eclipse Cross is too - the rear lights (and partly obscured rear screen) remind me of a gen 9 Civic, and the side windows the gen 8 Civic. Just a bit, mind.

The comparison between Peugeot and Mitsubishi is like a joke. Mitsubishi offers 10 year warranty in the US and is ranked among the most reliable carmakers in Germany. Plus it has all the safety package with very good interior quality. According to engineers, the Eclipse Cross is a masterpice. Top AWD and CVT systems. Go and get the 3008 because it has 3D cockpit.

The market changed, it is not Mitsubishi's fault that consumers don't buy sports cars anymore. They need to make cars to make money with, that's how a company works in real life. Making a sports car just to please a few enthusiasts would only make them go bankrupt.

I dont need to watch this video to know that it will be negative towards the Mitsubishi, and probably a sales pitch for some other brand. Dreadful channel. Carwow is another one I cant watch. Similar, dismissive and very negative reviews, the presenter seems to actually make a joke out of some cars, unless its for so called fashionable, trendy brands. OSV Car Reviews and Car Obsession are the best two UK channels in my opinion. Great presenters, like Top Gear was in the very early days. Honest, positive reviews, telling us why you should buy that particular car, and not giving you loads of reasons as to why you shouldnt. Sales staff at your local dealer would be out of a job if they did that to customers.

JDM Guy Oh come on..Vauxhall is better than Mitsubishi
@jdmguy446 жыл бұрын
Donguk Shin Vauxhalls are terrible! Corsa, Astra Vectra? Unreliable, poor to drive and given recent history a tendancy to go on fire (think Zafira and Corsa)! If you knew anything about cars you would know that Mitsubishi have produced some of the toughest and most capable off road cars ever like the shogun and amazing performance cars like the legendary evo models. They pioneered 4ws systems on the gorgeous GTO back in the day. Mitsubishi engineering is legendary. Vauxhall were such an ailing company they are now in full control of PSA group but they churned out a lot of mass market rubbish when they were part of GM who were another joke baving had to be bailed out by the US government. Vauxhalls are fine for rental fleets.
@powershin126 жыл бұрын
JDM Guy You know, Vectra is long gone now. Anyway reason why I rather take Vauxhall than Mitsubishi is case in Britain. If I live somewhere like Indonesia or Vietnam, I obviously choose Mitsubishi. But in GB, Mitsubishi's dealership isn't that great compare to Vauxhall's or Honda's. Also ride quality of Vauxhall is much better than Mitsubishi which uses very old platform. I would choose Vauxhall if other car is Mitsubishi. If there's other brands like Renault, Mazda, Hyundai or Skoda, I will choose them. Vauxhall isn't a bad car. They're just boring. I think we have to wait some time for 'great' Mitsubishi.
@oddities-whatnot5 жыл бұрын

Why would anyone buy this over a 3008?
@jdmguy446 жыл бұрын
Will H Looks much nicer in my opinion than the 3008. Very smart and modern. Mitsubishi build quality and reliability is top notch, and this particular model is built in Japan which is the icing on the cake. The drivetrains are always excellent. Mitsubishi engineering is legendary and I would bet this thing will be running reliably long after a 3008 is starting to become troublesome and costly to run. So various reasons why I would personally have this over the 3008.

ast5515 British car journalists have an obsession with soft touch plastics. But they don't seem to realise that in countries with extremely high temperatures and and lots of sunlight plastics that are a harder stand up better and are less prone to cracking. Soft touch plastics are not necessarily higher quality.
@ast55156 жыл бұрын
JDM Guy My problem lies elsewhere. Go sit in a VW Arteon. Feels high quality, right? Not really. Everything you touch creaks. I mean everything that isn't the steering wheel. Kia, Hyundai, Mazda, Peugeot, Citroen and oddly enough Dacia build high quality interiors. Granted I don't know every model from these manufacturers, there might be a few models that are below avarage. But I was really surprised by the new Duster for example. Everything you touch is solid.
