Pamo, I'm having trouble removing the hub assembly, it won't budge. Any tips? Rear ABS. Thanks.

What specifically is causing you trouble?
@ManSeeksCivic2 жыл бұрын
Do you mean the actual hub from the trailing arm?

@@ManSeeksCivic yeah, have removed the 30mm bolt and the hub won't budge, trying to replace it, have taken off the brake disc, removed the 30mm nut and the hub is stuck solid... Assumed it would slip off with only some resistance...

It should, if its stubborn you've got a challenge. Heat is the best option, if you can get a blowtorch on the rear of the hub near the bearing it will help. A bearing puller is also useful but they normally slide off without too much force. Don't be afraid to get a little caveman on it, the bigger the hammer the better.

Loving the videos and they are helping me no end so thank you. Quick question though, where did you get the back plates from? Mine rusted and fell off:( can't seem to find new ones for an fto. Any help would be great thank you.

Thanks for the comments mate, I'm afraid we already had good ones that just needed a clean up. You could try Mike at Viamoto in the UK. He has been more than helpful sourcing all the other parts we have bought.

Question: Are there any earlier trailer arms (from a previous year) that will work?
@ManSeeksCivic5 жыл бұрын
Like the earlier question asked regarding Evo brakes... I'm not sure I'm afraid. I believe that the rear suspension shares a lot with other similar sized mitsubishis of the era (colt, carisma, lancer etc) but I've never had to change the arms or use any other.

can evo 3 rear brakes work on that fto tailing arm

That's a good question and I'm sorry but I don't know for sure. I would assume that at worst they will with a revised carrier, but would need someone with experience to confirm.
