The Everest with Premium Package can also park itself. Well, it steers itself in, you have to control the gas and brake pedals. Automatic On/Off headlights, automatic high beam, and automatic rain sensing wipers. Also, lightest steering in it’s class. Electrically assisted steering instead of hydraulic.

If Everest is really good, why is it not topping the sales charts at least in the compact segment? Anywhere in Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, India or South Africa. It is the venerable Fortuner that is the market leader except in Australia.

Constantine Caacbay Because Toyota and Mitsubishi made a good image of making reliable cars before until now. Decades back, Ford made very unreliable cars. But now, they make great cars. Sales aren’t everything. Since those owners had great times with their cars, they opt to stick with that brand, hence, brand loyalty. They chose what had a bulletproof reputation over the years. What car maker was that? Toyota. That’s why it topped the charts.

@@FulgentFave It's not only reputation but I have a personal experience with other brands like Isuzu, Mitsubishi, Ford and Honda. Sad to to say, only Toyota cars are bulletproof. No brand comes close to Toyota especially when it comes to convenience, peace of mind, maintenance cost, reliability, comfort and overall value. Isuzu is trumpeting that it makes the best diesel engine cars but probably that was 30 years ago. My Ford Ranger before cost me tons of maintenance costs. Mitsubishi Strada has problems with its injectors that keep on coming back. Honda City maintenance costs is much higher than even that of Altis and the lists go on and on. And mind you, the Camry is as good as IS350 Lexus and now the Alphard, due to its very high quality standards has been adopted by Lexus and rebadged it as Lexus LM (Luxury Minivan). How can you then argue with success?

Both vehicles suck. Montero has SUA issues with ugly droopy tail lights and the other one has very poor after sales service and problematic turbo. Expensive PMS. Unreliable. Then fanboys will say MMPC has managed to solve the SUA?! Gimme a break.

First,the montero sport has no SUA,It is the person who is driving it,If it has really SUA,It came from the old montero.The new montero is all new. yeah the tail lights look ugly but think about your saftey and visibility.

Yes, the everest have expensive PMS but it is reliable.
