Nice review. You made a point that I think nobody else has: I have the seats folded down most of the time for the stuff I carry, so if I can't use the centre storage bin, that's a deal-breaker for me. I also saw the blue discoloration of the driver's seat (perhaps from jeans-wearers)at around 5:40.

Michael Pless ya white or cream is next to impossible to keep clean!! Even though press cars get cleaned regularly- this one was flawless but for that.
@DFWsCars8 жыл бұрын
+Michael so I found out something interesting form a viewer that could fix the console issue (hope it works for you): First put 2nd row seats back all the way, 2nd flip 2nd row bottom seat up. 3rd fold down 2nd row headrest then fold down 2nd row back seat down to have a totally flat floor to the back of the Outlander.

The GT will be my next vehicle, 7 seats, same sound system and sub as my eclipse but with a better amp, super all wheel control which is great in Wisconsin, and a nice 6 speed auto as i will not buy a cvt trans car. Very good video thanks for showing me more about this nice car.

DFWs Cars i also must say that i'm very excited for the future of Mitsubishi's cars in North America now that Nissan owns the controlling share of the company. I've always been a fan of Mitsu cars as i've had tremendous luck with them reliability wise, i'm on my 3rd one and this Outlander will be my 4th. I have never owned any other brand but had friends who had terrible experiences with Volkswagen, and GM's even though GM and VW have huge followings and are massive car manufacturers.

Yes the major downside of my 2016 model is the very very very artificial steering feel. Handling is really the major negative aspect of this family crossover that offers overall a lot of value for the money... I have the AWD version and I took it on some mild rough roads and the handling was really bad with that artificial steering wheel that did not inspire confidence... The Subaru Outback that I wanted initially but could not get a good deal on it, handles much better with a more precise and very well tuned electric steering wheel.

It's called electronic steering and it is not for everyone. We like it.

I think most direct competitor is nissan rougue. that car can be have for 7 seats as well and on smaller 7 seats suv as well.

The Rouge is a 5 seater. You are thinking about the Nissan Pathfinder.

I agree, my mom has a 2018 outlander and my auntie just got a 2018 Nissan Rogue a few weeks ago. I like the Nissan better because the driver seat goes back further than the outlander. My legs hurts while driving long distance in the outlander. 😲😞

I'm 5'5. My mom has a 2018 outlander & auntie just bought a 2018 Nissan Rogue. The outlander sucks on the highway and the driver seat doesn't let back far enough and the steering well does not adjust well. That's just my personal experience, but my auntie got a better deal on the Nissan price wise than my mom got on the outlander here in South Carolina. She went from a 2016 and upgraded for a 2018 outlander for space to transport two kids 3 & 1 with car seats. Still she has no room in the 2018 outlander for the car seats. What a waste of her money but the faults on her for not shopping around.

There is a 1, 2, 3 system of levers for making it so the third row seat is accessible. Not that you would want to use it, its terrible and uncomfortable, but its there.
@usfanlovesminho50857 жыл бұрын
We don't use the third row at all and always have the seats folded down so we have good storage space, but it is nice to know they are there in case we just happen to need to carry a couple more people, we can.

Gustavo José Pérez López good call! Looks like on the newest of those you can get 7 seats as an option. Impressive although I bet on smaller ones like the Rogue, etc- those 2 seats would pretty much be way way in the back

So here in the states it’s known as the Nissan Rogue think- and I would say it feels smaller but overall a bit more modern. MSRP for MSRP you get more bang for your buck with the Mitsubishi and more features (at least in the US market) and looks wise I personally prefer the Mitsubishi styling and interior). Both good tho. Hope that helps חגי נ

Forward Collision Warning system does not warn based on relative speed, it only gives if the front car is stand still. in real world we need for a slow moving front car while you are approaching in high speed. a little Garmin GPS "Garmin 010-N1682-02 Drive Assist 51 NA LMT-S" does a better job. I finally bought this GPS for warning. My old Subaru FMC was far far better.
@DFWsCars5 жыл бұрын
You’re talking about the FCW in the Mitsu specifically? I know many FCW systems do use relative speed. The model I reviewed had the speed based cruise control, so I wonder if they changed anything with FCW as well. 🤷🏻♂️
@Sachidananda745 жыл бұрын
@@DFWsCars Yes I am an owner of PHEV 2018 model I bought after reading the owners manual and youtube. in practical forget the break,the collision warning also not coming. it only comes when the car in front is still and you are going to bang. I am happy with the adaptive cruise , but I am not sure how to convey to Mitsubishi software folks to have this warning part rectified.

Just a little suggestion here; I think it is good if you can tell a bit about the brand's history and maybe some interesting information in the opening, before you go through the product review. :)
@chuanindo56907 жыл бұрын
But you should be careful where you got your information from, it must be from valid source and is accessible by others. :)
@DFWsCars7 жыл бұрын
Chuan Indo that's a totally awesome idea! I tried to do that with the sports car history and comment how they were known now for TVS (if I recall right they are also a industrial company). I kinda hated mentioning their history here tho- because sadly they are moving away from sporty vehicles, and also rugged SUVs like the Mitsubishi Montero (at least in the us).

So perhaps my thumbnail was bad then. This is me at almost 6 feet trying to squeeze myself in the 3rd row. As I mention those 3rd rows are best for kids or a quick trip for adults. The 1st and 2nd row were great.
@usfanlovesminho50857 жыл бұрын
If you are talking about the third row, it is perfect for children instead of adults IMO. My husband has a 2017 and we never use the third row. He bought it because he likes everything about it.

I love my car BUT...It is a shame that some Mitsubishi dealers will try to find any excuse not not to honor the bumper to bumper 60,000 Mile Warranty. No matter how great of a product is...if you have issues and you take it to the dealership to get fixed and you are given the run around so the dealership does not have to bother to send a warranty claim to Mitsubishi that will hold their money for some time. Mitsubishi dealers are digging their own grave and soon they will be just like Suzuki Dealers....GONE...
