Awesome content. The Pajero’s are so underrated. I love what you’re doing and that you’re doing it with a Pajero and not a hilux or cruiser like everyone else. So refreshing. I know you’re not going to believe this story and the timing with you giveaway but it’s true. I was heading to Fraser with the family (camper hitched on) just last week when half way between Gympie and Rainbow, cruise control on, still on the black-top when the Paj suddenly went into limp mode and all the dash lit up flashing. Managed to limp back to Gympie and got to Pacific Mitsubishi who only had sales open being a Sat arvo (no service or parts dept) but they put the OBD reader on and saw it was all due to loss of boost pressure. That gave me something to look for and I found a HUGE split in the intercooler hose. I couldn’t source a replacement anywhere from Brisbane to Bundy on a Sat afternoon so it looked like the family holiday was canceled. But then we lucked upon AutoBarn in Gympie who had a huge range of options (nothing that worked out of the box unfortunately) but with the help of Justin there we manufactured our own “Franken-hose” so saved the holiday!! Fast forward a week (awesome holiday btw) and here I am back home and on the internet searching up options for proper replacement silicone hoses, and catch cans and intake manifold cleans etc and I find your channel!! Not only that but you’re doing a giveaway for ultimate diesel who I’ve been looking at just now to do the intake clean, catch can install and then maybe a tune. So mate I’d love to win the vouchers to help get things sorted on my Paj. And I reckon you should look into putting a catch can on to help stop all soot and oil build up. That’s what killed my factory hoses in the first place - the amount of soot and oil in the hoses is incredible. Something to be mindful of I think. Anyway 🤞 you throw the vouchers my way to help us out with the stuff we need to do on the Paj, but if not that’s cool. When Diesel Tuning Australia (different company) in Sydney did my NX a few years ago the dyno sheet was quite telling. Looking at the timestamps they did the baseline run and only 5 mins later (just long enought to load a flash file on the ECU) they did the second and final power run. That's it. I mean the result in driving it was good but all they did was load a pre-prepared map. No actual tuning involved. $1,500 thanks very much.

Been tuned for about 2yrs and not a single problem. I pull 3T with it so it has to be reliable. AFR is a safe 18:1 but running high boost about 26psi.

Loved the video, and the insight into what's involved, ie potential obstacles, fixes, results etc. I picked up a late 06 NS in September last year after my 7 yr old asked me to take him camping and teach him how to fish. He's been at me since to take him to Cape York, but being in Melbourne, requires a lot of planning first. We get out to some tracks and my wife and boys have all fallen in love with our NS that seems to tackle anything we point it at. I've been looking into a tune since December though, as being the 06, it's the slug of the Pajero family. And bringing it back to life will make all the difference to our family adventures. Also I'm trying to pick your accent but it's not quite obvious.

mate just looked at the video you made and am impressed with the tech info freely given out so i have asked ULTIMATE to contact me on my little Girl,( Pajero NX 2015, ) but being 74 and a pensioner i am scared of the prices being bandied around which are damn scary ($1500-2500) i am going to be smashed with , so your voucher would be so much of a help no matter what the price is, and maybe for a bit extra discount from ULTIMATE i could do a short verification video with you on the confirmation of the quality and performance increase of my little Girl.

Been reliable with no mechanical or electrical issues touch wood and fuel economy is better. 12l in city and 10 on hwy. Lift big tyres and some accessories. If yours is stock will be even better 🙂💯

Diesels are a bit more rattly...depending how much ks you have...do valve clearances and top chain guide. A good oil as well id say haha

@@budget4x4life Nope but then I don't know of any that have been tuned either. I've seen all sorts of stories from many sources about dramas though. Engines from the factory are tuned as a compromise for power and longevity imo. Personally given the cost of replacing modern t/d's it isn't something that I would consider. Each to their own though obviously.
