Another awesome review. I am potentially interested in something like this but I want a really fast one with AWD and I don't want an Audi, BMW, Mercedes or Infiniti. What are my options?

what issues does the RVR have in terms of mechanical issues.

We just bought this, but we both wish that the sun roof opened. We have a Husky who likes his head out in our jeeps sun roof; but because it's so large, it doesn't open. Even if they were like most back window that only go half, we would be much more pleased with this option. otherwise, it is fully worth the $48 000 when everything is said and done!

hmm... if you dont want german....and want really fast....and awd..in a compact crosover...wait for the Juke R, or just swap an EVO engine into the RVR, add NOS, delete non-essential safety gear, and enjoy :) but really...maybe an STi with a lift kit?

What 48K are you talking about? The official Mitsubishi Canada website lists the price of the RVR as starting from $19,998 for the ES 2WD trim (the cheapest of seven trims), that comes with a manual transmission and front wheel-drive. The most expensive trim of the RVR which is a 2.4L GT AWC comes with a 2.4L engine, CVT transmission and all-wheel-drive and is listed at $29,398. BTW, these prices are in Canadian dollars, prices in the USA will be lower. I also don't understand why on earth you would compare a Honda Accord Sport car to an SUV as they are totally different vehicles. Sports cars or "sporty cars" are typically driven by youngsters who like to drive fast (and often dangerously). The main focus is on a powerful engine and how fast the car can go from 0 to 100. Besides this, these cars typically have a low ground clearance in order to make them more stable on the road when driven at high speeds or around turns. They have very little cargo carrying capacity and they are useless in snow. SUVs on the other hand have high ground clearance, available all-wheel-drive systems and generous cargo carrying capacity. They are great for driving in snow or off-road and they can easily go where sports cars would get stuck. So, again, completely different types of vehicles for completely different needs.
