I have a weird case. 2002 Mit's Montero Ltd. The cover begins to vibrate and make a squeeky kind of noise for maybe 10-15 seconds and it does it more frequently as time has gone on. This has been going on for years and my ABS warning light use to be on, but I don't think it is anymore. My brakes are good and after I was given a price of $2,500, but my braking is ok, so I've ignored it. Now, it is driving me crazy and thanks to you, I have a better idea of how it works and how to fix. Right now, before I remove and replace with a used motor or a new one, I need diagnostics on whether it is my Control Unit or the Motor. I'll post a short video of my problem

With hindsight, especially when you consider there are only two bolts holding the motor, would it not be easier to leave the master cylinder in place and work under it blind and remove the two bolts and draw the motor out without disturbing the master cylinder and its hydraulics?

Thank you to make this video for us.What y want to say is that if you could find the correct brushes (and y know that the comutator on the rotor is a bit worn) you could repair it by replaceing the brushes,not the rotor.
@jusb10666 жыл бұрын
brushes are easy, just measure the size, and you can file larger size down, all sizes from china. (BUT maybe softer and wear faster than original, who often use copper infused brushes) but in this case it wasnt only the brushes, the commutator was worn to the point it fell apart, i guess they make the brushes long and hard enough to last as long as the commutator
