I own a 5 speed mirage as well as a CVT variant. Both are great little cars but the 5 speed is a completely different animal. Not as much of a fuel sipper, but an extremely fun momentum machine especially in the hands of a capable driver. Both of mine are well over 100k miles now and have only needed general maintenance. These cars got such a bad rap here in the states from the media, but if you ask the owners how they feel about their mirage's, they all love them.

Contrary to common belief, the roadholding of this car is very good. Even with 165/65/14 tyres, one feels quite confident. Still the most exceptional characteristic of the Mitsubishi SS is it's v e r y short tutrning cycle. The shortcoming of the car is it's low attention to noise insulation in speeds above 100 -110 km/h.

If you put the front camber to negative (just within specs), you can make it almost neutral in curves.

Useless information, not showing what this car is actually all about, what is the usefull information about showing a handbrake turn for instance, my mother can do that?! This car is all about liters/km, usefull use in the city, and good price for the quality you get! For your information, we (my wife and I) bought this car for my wife (Mitsubishi Spacestar 1.2 Intense) because it is a very good car for traveling home to work. For you in the Czech Republic speed maybe is the most important thing for this car, not to us, because when you would have to pay up to 2.55 Euro's per liter for gasoline like here in the Netherlands your right foot wouldn't go all the way down on the paddle as well (and yes, I know the prices in the Czech Republic, btw, and yes, Budweiser from the tap is the best)!! All I can say is that a Mitsubishi is a great and reliable car, I myself drive a Lancer and it has never let me down! Because you are Czech I give you a thumbs up!

This actually isn't useless. I keep seeing people say these cars are so slow they are unsafe, which is untrue. This video proves that they can speed up if needed.
