FYI, in the beginning of the video, if you look at the wall controller you will see an icon of an indoor unit. That is showing where it is sensing the indoor temp from. As you can see that when you changed the setting the icon became a wall controller

Jumper man. You go son!! Definitely a hack job on the wiring. They knew that had some shade tree installers to put that shit in that's why they called a pro do repairs.

Good job, like my journey men always told me never assume that the guy who installed it did it correctly! He said always said start with the easy stuff and work it forward, just like you never assume the power is off “meter it”! That sure looks like extension cord for power, YIKES you never get the easy ones!!

Sorry I might have missed the part, how did you know the #5 dip switch was the one to turn on inside at the A/H? You just looked at the plate inside like you did at the condenser?
