Clipping is heaven it makes tracks comes to life and helps glued up everything and sounds full and 3d

in most today's production words " if ur track's low volume gives U trouble in achieving clipping" sound like a bitter irony. good stuff quys, keep going!

That mostly happens when our users decide to err on the side of caution and upload files at -12dB peak or even lower, which could be right on the money if you want to be well within spec somewhere around 0 to +4dBu, but a bit low if you then decide you want to make it hot. And thank you for the kind words!

I wish you could use the limiter on Mix:analog after bouncing to tape before converting back to digital.

what are the capture and dither settings on the burl? if we choose not to use a digital limiter afterwards in our DAW, do we still have to dither, or does the burl handle 16 bit dithering and 44.1kHz for us? thanks much

so clipp my AD going back into the daw in the red slightly then lower in the daw when finish record to do final touches ? because im confused im not seeing your ad here its all plugins i have the apogee mk2 converter
@bojansernek745910 күн бұрын
it's not plugins but remotely controlled hardware. we built an interface that looks like plugins so that it's easy and familiar to use. the actual ad here is a burl b80 mothership. on the process itself: you got the gist of it, clip the converter, then lower the volume of the track by a few fraction of dB inside the DAW. the usefulness of the results varies greatly on the analog section inside the converter, some are more forgiving/natural sounding than others in this process. experimentation and keeping an open mind is key here.

When I use other plugins on Mix:Analog, do I automatically get access to the Burl converter for clipping? Thanks.

Just because you can clip the converters that doesn't mean you necessarily should. Mix carefully! 😎
