You can just use silicone spray to waterproof things and make things slide i.e. vinyl windows instead of using grease which attracts dirt, Silicone spray can be used on leather boots (though not recommended by cobbler because it doesn't breathe), cotton sneakers and rejuvenating rain gear right before you rush outdoors to work.
