@@HarrisonAudio Hi! Trying it out rn, I do have a question! Is there anywhere you can point me to best set it up for my particular usecase. I just wanted to use Mixbus as a middle man of my inputs. I have 2 mics from two different sources in my computer and want to just route them through mixbus so I can use mixbus as the selected mic and apply vsts etc to the both of them and switch between them when need be. I'd like this session to just auto start with my PC since I want it to be just a natural part of my audio setup. I'm trying to use it similarly to elgato wave link tbh. I kinda got it working but I'd definitely like to understand it better.

The only thing I would say is that I tend to do a lot of bussing in my mix setup and having only 8 instrument busses can be a limitation especially on mixes with large track counts. Can you suggest a workaround?
@HarrisonAudio
@HarrisonAudio 7 ай бұрын
You can create as many Audio Buses as you would like but these buses don't have the tape drive and summing engine. They are like an Aux bus that you would create in any other DAW.
@philipgebhardt3453

@@HarrisonAudio Thanks for your reply. How can you then send to those extra busses? I haven't seen how you can do that.

I'm not talking about an aux send , I'm asking how you can create more instrument busses-?

I really needed this video and more like this. Though I've worked on many DAW's and my main has been Reason. For mixing I really want to move away from them. Is MixBus on Groove3 or anything? Or will you continue to make the basics and Tips for MB. I'm asking cause I like to have an updated version of your information.

It truly Is (better than PT) In my opinion as well, & never did take to the work flow, especial being that they blocked out 3rd party Vst vendors (AAX) bull crap lol. HMB10 Is what sound recording, production recording, artist recording was, & Is about In terms of a TRUE analog recording & mixing work flow like the OG big multimillion dollar studio days recording sessions which produced the GREATEST Albums from the greatest artist of our times HMB Is the ONLY DAW that captures that essence in it's TRUEST & PUREST sense of TONALITY sonically that gives you that INSTANT FATNESS & WARMTH to anything you're mixing. & they also focus on HMB sound legacy opposed to modernity, modernization & trying to ride the TECHY HYPE! They are using the technological advancements in digital music software programming the RIGHT way, which is to ENHANCE the sonics, & quality of audible sound. Not try to REINVENT it If that makes any sense This is WHY I choose HMB as my main Daw. And to be totally 100% >>>>> haven't even used It one time In practical use terms Ironically (lmao) and have owned It, as well UPGRADED every year for the past 4, 5 years Isn't that something ahah I TRIED ALL THE OTHER DAWS including the FREE ones In which the CLOSEST I heard In application & tonal sound similarity to HMB was CAKEWALK by Band lab not so ironically bkz they to have stayed with this "don't fix It if It isn't broke, just Improve on what already works well with the new tech advancements".. So for FREE I would say CW Is the best. But It could NEVER COMPARE to HBM on it's best day. But not everyone can afford to play this high stakes hobbyist, or In my case "Professional" music producer game The reason that I haven't used HBM In practical use is partly due to LAZINESS, as well learning to MASTER the features & learning curb so I can be faster with my Sessions be It mixing, Mastering or Recording I typically do all my Mixing (in the box) on Native Instruments Maschine now MK3 software. But I only do that bkz It's quick & easy & I still can get a solidly good sound mixing on the Maschine platform, but It's still not ideal bkz It LACKS In many ways that HMB Is GOD level in terms of recording, mixing, & mastering applications But I'm going to start spending more time getting more comfortable with the visual environment bkz I know what I'm doing in regards to skillfully as a Producer Engineer It's just hard for myself at least top CHANGE that creative environment that becomes CONFORTABLE mentally to create & get in your zone As switching to full time HMB Is what I would like to do. But when my MIND & CREATIVITY want to simply CREATE we don't want to be slowed down by learning curves of a new producing environment So that's the ONLY reason why I am embarrassed & ashamed to say & admit that I haven't recorded not ONE song in HBM ever believe It or not 🤔🤔😂!!! But as you see I STILL PAY FOR THE ANNUAL UPGRADES (bout to go buy HMB 10 after this message lol) when they add new features bkz I know that HBM Is hands down the BEST TRUE SCHOOL sounding (TRUE) ANALOG style DAW from the 80's, 90'z & Is the CORNER STONE of my generation (Gen X"s) sonic soundstage of most ALL the major HITS, songs & artist back in the MTV days lol!! I have opened up the DAW, scanned all my plugins etc. I just have SO MUCH SOFTWARE, so many options that I get LOST in all of it at times. But I'm about to make my entrance Into the world as one of the greatest unheard, slept on genius of our time/ So It's time to whip out the BIG GUNZ so to speak. I know I want my Albums, records, songs etc to EXCLUSIVELY & ONLY be recorded, mixed, & mastered in HMB DAW, bkz I know as a culturist, * connoisseur , ^ practitioner of the music culture It doesn't get any truer, or better in regards to "Analog" style DAWS, or programming & that's the whole thing with HMB. It's not TRYING to be "like" an Analog style Console. It very much IS THE REAL DEAL TRUE Analog sound on a digital platform. & That is the HUGE DIFFERENCE between HMB and ALL the others. They sound FAKE, THIN, PLASTIC, where as as soon as you even load a song up in HMB It just becomes immediately WARMER, fatter, CLEANER, clearer & sounds have better over all sonics. It NATURALLY GLUES tracks, instruments, sounds, groups, &^ master bus seamlessly. HMB also allows for LESS 3rd party plugins as It has It's own set of STELLAR, STATE OF THE ART processing tools & applications (which kind of makes a lot of $$$$$$$ in 3PP's I've spent thru the years on lavish plugins irrelevant which I'm not so happy about lol).. But as long as I OWN a license & can eventually upgrade to the FULL version Is what I'm really aiming for. I just like having the BEST, & to be PREPARED & have EVERYTHING I possibly may need as an ARTIST, creative, & sound designer, as well Engineer to achieve anything creatively I want as well have that HMB SOUND that everyone else in Hip Hop, pop, Rock are straight SLEEPING ON bkz you NEVER hear HMB be brought up in HIP HOP & R N B origin based producers like myself circles But this is the PERFECT DAW for that truest Hip Hop, R n B "Black, or URBAN" music sound If you will which in my humble opinion HMB is the standing KING of all DAWS, & this is a RESEARCHED, trial & error assertion, statement & FACT bkz I've tried "Fl studio, Serato Studio, Maschine, Ableton, Cakewalk the list goes on & on ahah lol This was the LEAST bragged & boasted about DAW in the HIP HIP community & probably still is although WAY MORE producers today are becoming HIP pun intended to what the HMB really Is & truly offers bkz It truly is a GREAT DAW & I can't understand WHY people are so DAFT to it ijs ahah. It is THE BEST ANALOG CONSOLE MIXING\MASTERING PLATFORM on a digital devices period & there is NO competition! No one even comes close to matching the WARMTH alone In sonics let alone all the other values HMB offers. We are talking "MOTOWN" records type QUALITY here In a DAW at clik fax.

Hey Nathan, I'm trying to find out how to back up Mixbus (v7) on Mac. I want to back up the whole Mixbus program to an external drive. I want to be able to restore Mixbus with all my current settings if I get a new computer or my current computer dies. Where can I find out how to do this?

Hey Billy, on a Mac you need to go to the main Mac menu, click on Go/Libraray/Preferences/Mixbus 7 then save that folder where ever you like. This will have all your settings that you can then move to your new computer. -Nathan

Hey Nathen. I like mixbus very much wanna ask you about workflow. Plugins I use when mixing in mixbus is going to background when I click to mixer console. İs there any solution to put plugins to the front unless I close them. And is there any way to control playhead via komplete kontrol m32 push encoder dial. I can use it in fl studio but cant make it work with mixbus yet. Thank you.

I just downloaded to give it a try in trial mode but , very unituitive , and seems a little unstable , the dsp would spike from 45 to 80 and i hadn't even started a track . I couldnt even get a pluging to work 😢😢. Reaper just cannot be beat . Although i love the idea of the mixing desk workflow. Just fyi my computer has a i9 and 64gb ram so dont understand the high dsp
