Hi David. As usual, thanks for the great video 🙂. You seem to be in very good shape this summer, great energy 👍. Although all those “kick” plugins sound great for mixing kicks (of course!), don’t you find it easier and more direct to mix this register (transient material and low frequencies) with outboard/analog gear? I can never attain the thump I get in ten minutes with my rack no matter how long I try to mix and layer with plugins. I tend to think that the low end register is exactly where digital still falls short… What do you think?

Thank you, well there's really no outboard for the sub part of it, yes there's one obscure, forgotten unit but besides that, there's really no analog for that section. Generally speaking, yes you know I default to analog for eq, compression, saturation.

What is that mysterious analog device? You piqued my curiosity 🤓. Yes, maybe I didn't express myself correctly here: I was talking about my analog chain. I call it "outboard" but it's just a rack made of a few compressors and a Drawmer 1974 that I bought after looking at your video ;-) (Thanks for that, BTW).

Wow, from watching this review/demo alone, I think I need this plugin more than I need dinner for the next few days! One little thing I'm not 100% sure about - on the 2nd half of the video, when playing audio examples where there was already a Kick ion the material, were you just layering another Kick from the plugin on top of the existing kick or using only the SUB channel of the plugin to sculpt/enhance the kick that was already there? I didn't see the KICK channel on the plugin muted so I assume there are 2 kicks playing at the same time? Thanks in advance

Kick processes a kick sound present in your track, sub section generates and sculpts the added sub

I really think the sub section is worth having. I'm quite picky with sub generators, not a fan of lo-air or submarine, there are a few others but eventually I end up using pro Tools/Air Pro Sub, and this is definitely better. So that's a thumbs up for me

the left side of the plugin is not very special and i'd rather use other plugins for these purposes, the right side is pretty awesome and unique though!
