@@dissdad8744 Nothing is better... its all relative... IF its better then Ling Hussles vocal is suffering....not..these are only tools. Sometimes the best engineers use stock Pro tools eqs compressors.. vs U/A Waves... whatever gets you there is fine...is a stratocaster better than a les paul.. The C-4 is amazing...

@@zonasound Not completely correct! There are objective differences in effects: some introduce massive latency, others introduce aliasing, some EQs have cramped top-end, other have low frequency ringing... Tokyo Dawn Labs stuff is really good in all these aspects!

@@dissdad8744 U R half way correct. I have Tokyo Dawn Labs, but my point is when it comes to Sound, There are albums that sound AMAZING with out any Tokyo Dawn Labs Plugins. Thousands of amazing records in all genres. Some recorded to Pro tools. Others Logic,Ableton, even Garageband. Its more about capturing emotional performances than how much latency a plugin might introduce. Many great albums done w/o TIme delay compensation, a feature inside of Pro tools that calculates the latency and makes up the difference. I think I love that Low Frequncey ringing sometimes, Its all over my fav records.

@@zonasound I agree. Stock plugins are often sufficient. I use Cubase and it has fantastic stock EQ, good reverb and okay compressors! Cubase was the first to introduce latency compensation almost two decades ago!

Needs automated reverb sends one short small room and one large long on the vocals. This will take every vocal to the next level. Very subtle movements from none to some with give the vocal more vibe and energy!

@@SuavA615 the short sounds good between the ending words of the bar and the long sounds good on ending words of the bar that have space until the next word is said. Make sure you roll off the low end of the sends with an eq so there isn’t any mud.

26:40 The Moog filter made the vocals sound worse.

Once you get to 32:00 you see that his plan was to use the filter to add distortion to the vocal and mix that with some of the clean vocal, and to my ear that final vocal sound is better than pre-filter

Take out some of the highs and lows of the bg vox and if necessary some around 1k and 200-500hz. And distribute them over the stereo field by panning. If they are all tight and in sync this will do it. Cheers fam
