Great content. I’ve already watched this 3 times . Simple yet difficult question . ? I see you have some stereo paired pultecs -La2A - 1176 . since you sum out to the ssl , I know you understand what it’s doing And I’m sure there routed as inserts into pro tools aswell. Why do you use the La2A UAD emu etc. over the real stereo paired hardware? I only ask because I’m in the process of buying this equipment and I’d rather save the money if the sound is close to eachother . I already use UAD and there GREAT but always thought that the hardware just brought something different/better then the plugins . Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks 🙏

Meh idk bro, if ur really skilled with that mouse on the screen you gonna kill it with a bunch of stock plugins. In the modern age plugins are basically at such a good level (especially UAD, PA, Waves, all that) that you're gonna NEED hardware only for 2 reasons and no other: 1. You fucking hate plugins, 2. You would like to feel what ur doing rather than just click. The ultimate thing tat kills hardware for me is the price man, no thank u, maybe if i ever build a million dollar studio.
