Congratulations Luisa Stefani and Rafa Matos Australian Open champions. It was Brazil's sixth title in mixed doubles at Grand Slams. Bruno Soares (Australian Open 2016 and US Open 2012 and 2014), Maria Esther Bueno (Roland Garros 1960) and Thomaz Koch (Roland Garros 1975) also achieved the feat. When adding up all the conquests in doubles (mixed, male and female), Brazil now has 22 Grand Slam titles. Brazilian María Esther Bueno was a tennis ballerina. María Esther Bueno is the best South American tennis player in history, the only one to win Wimbledon (1959, 1960 and 1964) and the only one to win four editions of the US Open (1959, 1963, 1964 and 1967), among others.

Not enough credit has ever been given to Sania Mirza for revolutionizing a sport which many didn't think of as a career specially in Southern Asia. She's definitely been a role model for young girls around the world who has ever dreamt of being a sports champion because Sania literally broke ground for women in sports in India wherever she went and played around the world. Kudos to you Sania on an amazing career.
