Thank you Miranda :) You are not the first to be sad about a background being layered under. To me..mixed media is a process of stacking and layering and creating a texture and color way that can not be duplicated. Much more interesting to look at then a plain acrylic painting. It has to be done! lol

Shel, I'm confused, you add all the texture the cover with a coat of whatever, isn't the texture lost?

Hi Elaine :) Yes, the texture is all smooth and shiny now. I did not like the texture of the bubbled up napkins. I felt it was detracting the eye from looking at the composition. The resin coat looks really cool though :)
