Thanks Eileen! I appreciate knowing that (some people prefer I don't talk!) so it's good to know in some cases that it's a good thing.

Hi, Pam I enjoyed the flip through of your journal. I like listening to the commentary on your choices. The easiest way to solve your blank page issue is to turn the book upside down and make your back cover now your front cover. All of your done pictures will be on the left, upside-down. All of the blank pages will now have the coil on the left as you would like it. You may even get newly inspired by looking at your done artwork from a different angle. Another possibility, especially if you want to work more on landscapes, is to put the coil at the top and work on your blank pages in landscape, rather than portrait, mode. You also may find yourself reworking some of those "done" artworks that you don't necessarily feel are done. Looking forward to your next video. Nancy

The highly texture one in golden yellow hues...I really appreciated the fact that it lacked a clear focal point. The freedom to explore the different relationships of shapes textu color marks etc give me so much more then to be forced into a constructed narrativ

Pam, thank you for sharing. Your art is minimalistic (which I prefer) and draws interest. I have been admiring (drooling over) your braceletes as well. Do you make/ design your own? I am a multi task artist and dable in jewelry as well as many other interests. i make necklaces and place small bits of my art in bezeled frames. You may want to look into that too, it really show cases snippets of your art. Same as your 4" canvases or your 3.5" x5.5" matted pieces just on a smaller scale. If you do make your own jewelry do you have a favorite resource for direction/ suppies? Always looking to learn new and exciting skills. If you do not make your bracelets/ necklaces congrats to the artisan who does! Looking forward to more of your creative works. Lisa

Thanks Lisa! Unfortunately, I can't take credit for the bracelets I wear as that is something I don't make. I imagine jewelry-making is fun and I especially love the idea of using your art in the jewelry you make--nice to use up all the small bits.

Oh Doreen, I am sure you could paint a portrait. I only say that because I never imagined I could paint one and over time it just happened. I wish you could see some of my early attempts--you would be so encouraged! As for pulling pages out of my art journal--I haven't sold any but occasionally if someone likes a page I've taken it out and given it to them.

How do you keep your pages so flat?
@pamhemmerling3 ай бұрын
I think because it is a spiral bound art journal and heavy mixed media paper--I'm guessing that's why the paper lays flat. Thanks for watching!
@karmengia723 ай бұрын
Pam love your work! How do you keep your pages from sticking together? And lying flat? Any tips would be helpful 😅 thank you
@pamhemmerling3 ай бұрын
In this spiral-bound art journal I am only working on one side so the pages don't stick together because there isn't paint on both sides. In non spiral-bound art journals, once I am finished I use clear gesso to help the pages not stick. It can be tricky to keep the art journal lying flat--sometimes I use bull clips or binder clips. Thanks for watching!
