I am totally new to all mixed media and painting. I make junk journals and wanted to make some awesome book covers, tags etc. I then found you and OH MY 😍 you are SO Inspiring. In school I alway was told that I NEVER would learn how to paint and when somebody tells you that enough times it gets reality.. I have, many years ago, painted furniture and have always been creative in some way. But now I have tried on of your classes here on KZbin and you know what.....I CAN DRAW AND PAINT 👏👏❤️😀 I want to buy some stuff so I can paint some more. But I only have a school pencil, a bit of paint, mod podge and a bottle of liquitex matte medium. I really would like to have a list of Supplies. A nice to have have and a important to have. In my country all craft supplies is crazy expensive so a list would be so great Sorry for long message and my bad English 😱but you really should know that you are amazing awesome 🤩 👏👏👩🏻‍🎨 Hope you can help and think maybe others also would love to have a list to go after. That’s a really good question! I got this roll YEARS ago, and I literally cannot remember where - I want to say Michael’s! But I’m not 100% sure, I do know that when I bought it I wasn’t ordering online the way that I do these days. But it is Tim Holtz so probably going to his direct site is the easiest way to find it! I’d grab a link but I wasn’t able to find one! I’m so sorry!

Hey got a question can you call it mixed media art if you put some spray inks on a page & do some decoupage with say pictures out of a magazine I mean if someone can't draw as good as you would that be ok to do

You can do whatever you like! Just know that the spray inks will run if anything wet is added on top! But yes! Mixed media is any combo of any art supplies!

With air bubbles....try poking a tiny hole in the bubble while the medium is still wet and then adhering the tissue down😺

I just read that you can make your own liquid acrylics by adding airbrush medium. I copied a mixing chart off the golden site if you want it I'll email it to you. It's a really simple mix of medium, paint and a little water. The chart goes through the different types of acrylics for mixing. Both golden and liquitex sells it. The US art supply is really cheap but the reviews are not too good though for this type of work it should work fine. Liquid acrylics ready made are expensive so this is a great sub for those as most of us already have lots of acrylics. You can also thin with plain water to get transparency and that would work too since you don't have to worry as much about flaking or cracking when you seal with medium.

That’s just where your paint has started to dry up. You have to open it up and remove the hunk of stringy glue.
