Love the page and the nonchalant way of colouring in… not for a perfectionist… the visual journal is great too 👩🏻🎨

Yes, totally casual painting, this is why I enjoy it so much. I could never be a good disciplined painter even if I tried 😅 thank you as always Reni 😘

@@NitsaCreativeStudio I'm a perfectionist and I've had to learn over the many years I've been doing stuff like this that the way it lands is the way it wants to land and it's best to just let the art be what it wants to be rather than trying to force it to be something it's not. While we may think we have a plan in mind and that everything is going to go perfectly to that plan, the reality is that our subconscious knows what we're trying to say and what IT want's the piece to look like ... and you just have to learn to live with that as a perfectionist. Frees the soul (after you get used to it of course!).

This is a great video I did my first laser pull today, I was so happy ,but there isn’t anyone in the shops that have a laser printer so I cut a picture out of my calendar , and after a couple of attempts it was ok for a Beginner, I realised on the first time I had let the ink dried out too much and didn’t get anything so when I used more ink and put the same picture down and left it a while it was 50% okay, you are such a good teacher. Xxx

I also love using old books and things in my art. Have you tried to image transfer from an old book? I know the ink is different, as is the way it's printed and what it's printed on, but it's still ink and paper.
@NitsaCreativeStudio2 жыл бұрын
Yes, some old books work but not all, but generally speaking if I really want to transfer from an old book, I will scan it and then tranfer from a photocopy. This way I also preserve the book 👍

what is the book you're holding from 1:03-1:07 with the tan pages and the cool 1970s fonts? I would love to know because I collect 1970s. THanks!

I would have liked a close up look to the finished piece. Too fast and not enough detail as to what you are doing. Love the idea and would try it but need more info.

So, I know that your viewers are inclined to buy the mediums that you use and that's fab. I love Liquitex as well as Golden. But, it's super expensive and a professional medium. Not that novices can't use the pro stuff. OF COURSE they can. But my suggestion would be to browse your Walmart and any other discount store in which they sell art supplies. Just find something that says "gel medium", be it gloss, semi, or matte. Before you purchase the expensive stuff, try it with the cheaper stuff. In my experience, while the pro stuff is a bit more reliable in the results, for home projects and practice, the cheap stuff works well. Matter of fact, I have some from Michael's that works as well as the pro stuff for a fraction of the cost. Even a fraction of the cost of Mod Podge. However, if you plan on selling your projects, I'd invest in the pro stuff. It really does work better. Only a little, but enough to warrant using it for stuff you will sell.

I totally agree! If you are a beginner and just practicing and are not planning on selling your artwork, it's definitely a good idea to use inexpensive art supplies. Also, even when you are a pro it's always a good idea to buy in bulk, so overall the supply prices are more manageable. I like to browse yard sales and second hand stores for art supplies, you'll be surprised at what you can find and low low prices, sometimes people will even give their supplies for free! Thank you April for your thoughtful comments 🌼🧡🤗🥰
