Mixed results with seedling Germination| Late April Update| New Tools for Garden Maintenance|
I am having very mixed results with seed germination this spring, beets, spinach and peas have mostly been good, whereas lettuce, cabbage and onions have been very poor indeed. I did manage to get a number of bell peppers chitted and I'm hoping I can get them to grow on in an unheated propagator. My Lawnmower sadly 'died' on me last week and was not repairable so I have purchased a new one (online) which I will do a brief video on soon so watch out for that. I also bought a cordless Pole saw (video coming after this one) which I will review.

I chitted my squash this year too it is better than sitting staring at a pot of dirt 😅😅 waiting for it to do something. Great update woody have a fab week, Ali 💨🥶🌤️🌧️🇨🇦

Now you've said that I think I will too Ali! I was thinking of sowing them this week along with zucchini and french beans. Have a great week too and 🤞🤞 for the squash, hope you get some good healthy plants.❤️

Hi Woody, Sorry about the operation, but at least you got the decks cleared and can now finish everything else! Germination is clearly teasing everyone, but in general you seem to be on the winning side! How many years before you can harvest the asparagus - I remember you planting it in the border, but can't remember how long ago... brain fog. Keep safe and happy. Gordon

Hi Gordon Well it's one of those things I guess, and as you say it allowed me to crack on with jobs I might've not been able to do. The asparagus is now in its third season ( planted 1 year old crowns last year) so can start cutting next year in ernest. ATB my friend 👍👍

i'd be tempted to space the seeds out in a tray with a view to pricking them out later. less room required, woody..................brian

Hi woody germination has been very hit and miss this year and can't put it down to compost as some seed have germinated brilliantly.
