This game is just further proof that the "it's just cosmetic" excuse shouldn't be acceptable. Cosmetics items can affect/enhance a game experience just as much as gameplay affecting items. If this was a Microsoft exclusive the dye merchants would just be in-game links to the microtransaction store

What's ironic is that when the Straw Hat prisoners were rescued they told Ryuzo that they were fed. Ryuzo and the Straw Hats could have scoured food in the fortress to last them for weeks, maybe months.

I wasn’t even surprised, I saw that coming 10 miles away when everytime Ryuozu and I rode together he’d complain about the past and how he thinks I screwed him over during the duel they had when they were younger. The part that pissed me off is when he said “THE SAMURAI IS HERE”. That was was the big betrayal. It’s one thing to try to kill me yourself, but then to snitch, to yell out my position to the enemy, and not even by my name, but by the name the enemy knows me by “the samurai”. That was the real betrayal. That’s when Ryuzo went from someone who made a mistake, to a full blown traitor. He basically said “screw our life long friendship, you’re just “the samurai” too me”.

Playing this for the first time myself, and I've got the exact same sentiment. For me, I fully expected Ryuzo to turn based on his conversations, combined with the desperation to keep his Straw Hats fed. They were in pretty bad shape. Fairly understandable betrayal all things considered, right up until he shouts "THE SAMURAI!" and crosses a line.

I knew a betrayal was coming. But I assumed it would come at least *_AFTER_* taking back Castle Kaneda, and I was really coping that it wouldn't happen at all. So much of the stress in Act 1 came from finding every potential Ally *_DEAD_* and unable to help fight back the Mongols. I had saved investigating the rumors of the Samurai from the burned village and hiring the Straw Hats as the last two leads before saving Uncle Shimura. So imagine my frustration when they both lead nowhere! That for me is always the worst part of these games. Trying to find help, *_BUT NO ONE WANTS TO._*

Its understandable(not saying he's right) why Ryuzo did what he did. He didn't se Shimura with the Rose Tinted glasses Jin did(and was proven right. Shimura wouldve sent everyone to die) and the Mongols gave him and the Straw hats what they needed desperately immediately. His personal jealousy of Jin definitely factored a decent bit in this as well.

You know that meme where they ask "Tell me one character that went throu more pain than her? I will wait." Well i will choose Jin Sakai. He lost his real family, his homeland is invaded, his best friend betrayes him, people he loved die around him including his horse. All he did was for the love of Tsushima. He went so far to protect it to break a japanese holy rule: Honorfull fights. He gets hunted by his own Shogun and even has to fight his new adoptiv Father which has the task to kill him which he looses either throu killing him but at least give him what he wanted: Honorfull death or he let him love but then is (propaply) hated by his uncle and hunted until he dies. And he still went throu all of this jist to save his home. Yeah i guess he had it very rough.

I had expected Zo to play along up until Uncle Shimura returns wifh backup from The Snogun. *_*And then he proceeds to throw them all across the bridge as fodder for the Mongols._* Not only would more people be behind that betrayal, cuz even Jin agreed that Shimura was wrong, but it would call back to what he said to Jin at Kaneda. How he *_KNEW_* Shimura would only make them Samurai to send them to die.

The betrayal was so obvious though. All the way back before the boats when he said that Jin and Ryuzo had a tournament and he lost I just knew he would turn on me. Such an amazing experience.

If I had family-like people around me to feed, and a simple bounty would be enough to keep us going, I would go for the bounty on my long ago friend. Jin only comes to see Ryuzo when he needs his help, hasn't checked on him ever since there duel. Yes, Ryuzo could of helped Jin, but when he says, "it belongs to them now" you can feel his struggle, he didnt know if it was possible to beat the mongols, he can't take the chance, his men are literally starving and have been with every mission we've done with him.

It’s not like Jin could have easily found Ryuzo. He couldn’t just call him up. Before this he didn’t even know Ryuzo was with the straw hats and didn’t see him for years. Plus Jin is kind of busy being one of the most important people on the island. How would he have found Ryuzo let alone had the time for it?

Idk why more people dont talk about ryuzo and jins confrontation and betrayal its the most underrated moment in this game to me so bad ass and tragic. especially the moment were they first draw there swords that slow tension build up gave me chills.
