No, he doesn't sing like James. He sings like himself on his own. The main value of these guys is that they cover, of course... They cover. But they are pushing up the masterpiece to their own, very sophisticated level. They are not just craftsmen, they ARE Artists.

@@robertstepien3787 He does sound quite a bit like James though. He definitely adds his own technique and sound to it, but he absolutely sounds like 1985ish James at times
@robertstepien37872 жыл бұрын
@@raptus3049 that's the clou. This is a cover. But not the simple one. Nobody should be someone's copy. If you're an artist, you should add something unique to the masterpiece. And so he does. That's the main value of this interpretation. Not that, what somebody thinks about the close sounds of original voice and the new vocalist's voice.

As a Metallica fan since 83 I must say this cover kicked ass. The bass at the beginning and the head banging very reminiscent of Cliff. The singer sounds like a young James Hetfield. The guitars and the drummer- wow. Keep it up young men. #muya
@blakfloyd2 жыл бұрын
Also, the bass player did the same thing Cliff used to do where he just slaps all four fingers onto his E string. That plus the embellishments here and there where they slightly deviated from the studio version make it pretty clear they've seen their fair share of live Metallica vids.

They do not know Stiffened wounds test their pride Men of five still alive through the raging glow Gone insane from the pain that they surely know For whom the bell tolls Time marches on For whom the bell tolls Take a look to the sky just before you die It's the last time you will Blackened roar, massive roar fills the crumbling sky Shattered goal fill his soul with a ruthless cry Stranger now are his eyes to this mystery Hears the silence so loud Crack of dawn, all is gone except the will to be Now they see what will be, blinded eyes to see For whom the bell tolls Time marches on For whom the bell tolls

I like how the singer dude noticed right away when bass player fixed his strap and missed the timing a tiny bit. the details and the journey! this was the first song I performed live with my first band when I was like 17 back in 1987 or so. we were supposed to play an hour set at our drummers Boy Scouts camp. it was a legit Scout camp with cabins and everything. they had a stage built for us when we arrived and once we started playing about in minute into the song a few Boy Scouts started to get their toxic waltz on and I watched the counselors talking to each other in the back and then all of a sudden BAM! plug was pulled they said it was to heavy and shut us down. later that night we canoed over to the girls camp site, broke into thier kitchen/mess hall and literally trashed their kitchen and raided the fridge for food and drinks and took ice cream on our way back to the canoe we heard them chasing us. we were laughing our asses off and paddled back to the boys camp. by this time it was really early in the morning and everyone was asleep.so we gathered our gear, loaded up and TP'd (toilet paper) all the trees and cabins and took off. I think Paul (our drummer) was kicked out of that troop if I remember correctly. this was a great version you guys did here.
